I finally had the guts to cut ties with most of my friendships this year. All but 2 of them.

I don't regret it in the slightest. They're bullies who disguise themselves as virtuous people and have only contacted me in recent months when they want me to do something for them. I finally gave myself the freedom from being around toxic people like that just "to be nice" or out of some dumb fear of "not having friends."

Having shitty friends who view you as their "lesser," especially over politics, is so much worse than not having friends at all.

This is why I am no longer friends with any leftist at this point in time. Fuck 'em.

If I'm not mistaken Chile had a reputation near the turn of the century for building armored/protected cruisers and per-dreadnaughts for sale to other countries. Armstrong shipyards i think?

Not to sound religious here but have patience. Wait for the lawsuits to conclude then either mock or just tune out. If SCOTUS hands Trump the presidency then mock the shit out of them because they truly do deserve it. It it turns out that Biden got a legitimate win even though its heavily tainted with suspicion, then just tune out. Now its their guy in charge and apparently Biden is filling with cabinet with neoliberals lol.

I used to know a leftist until the start of this year, but as soon as he starting calling Stalin's atrocities "made up nonsense" and saying Marxism was only beaten by vast liberal corporate conspiracies I quit. It was a shame, he used to be a moderate and we actually agreed on certain political issues like being pro-gun and anti-EU.
