I have a math teacher who literally will not shut the hell up about politics (mostly TDS), even during class. Unfortunately, I live in a heavily blue area, so all the students in the class agree. It sucks having to see how blindly they all just believe MSM. Worst part is, I can't just mute because then I can't listen to any part of the lessons.

You're a math teacher. Stop trying to inject politics into a lesson when I'm supposed to be learning math.

Just last week he was going on about how he felt "sick" because of the election. Then a few days ago, oh damn, he's okay because "Biden won." Did he just ignore every instance of voter fraud?

It is my experience that most fall on the former, which I find irrational since the main thing that should matter in a politician is policy.

Policy-wise, I think the main sticking point for some I know of is that he unequivocally supports Israel, and its claim to Jerusalem. Now, you might point out that (((they))) always had support from US presidents no matter the party, but some, like Obama, were publicly ambivalent, and did not appear to aid in their interest much. (I say appear, because fuck knows what backroom deals go on in the hallowed halls of Washington or Tel Aviv.)

The other main sticking point has been his careless disregard for Internet freedoms of any sort. Our dear leader spergery about Section 230 demonstrates this perfectly. Again, this is a muddled issue, but broadly speaking, he's seen as favouring big-name corps over upholding the core tenets of internet freedom. Ajit Pai has been quite a meme with some of my lefty friends hating him unequivocally. (Though when pressed, they couldn't actually point out what he done wrong save for that one thing where he removed FCC protections or something).

Note that I do not actually agree with these assessments, but they are the two consistent ones which are brought up that do not touch on his brash personality.

Trump was astoundingly bad at blowing up the national debt for a Republican president. Now Bush and Obama were bad for that too, but ideally a conservative leader should try not to spend massively beyond the country's means. Not many people are talking about this but this is the huge problem with the last few presidents and Biden won't fix this either. Hopefully the country doesn't go the way of Greece.

Trump was too close to Saudi Arabia and Israel. Israel is a self sufficient country and doesn't need US military aid anymore, and since the US domestic oil industry has grown there's no need to keep supporting Saudi Arabia's ventures in Yemen. While he made some decent progress on withdrawing from the middle east, these were major flaws.

Trump's threats to repeal Section 230 were dumb and would open sites like this up to frivolous lawsuits.

Trump made various comments suggesting he didn't respect the second amendment (take the guns first, due process later). While he didn't ban any guns other than bump stocks and appointed pro second amendment judges, it was concerning to see a Republican president making comments in support of red flag laws which violate due process.

Now please articulate which of those potential policy complaints Biden would be better on, if you would. Biden is markedly equally bad or worse on even Section 230. The token liberal opposition to Trump saying it is solely because he is the one saying it.

The hatred simply doesn't make sense from a policy standpoint unless your policy differences are on social issue bullshit.

I'm just pointing out that, while what you say is completely correct, it runs headlong into the stone-cold fact that Biden is equally bad or worse in every listed aspect.

As a result, it makes no rational sense to prefer Biden over Trump on policy, unless the policy one puts inordinate focus on is social issue stuff like LGBT nonsense.

By strongly supporting them, he made the position be one where other countries in the middle east were forced to the negotiating table. The first step to pulling ourselves out of the middle east -entirely- is making sure any of our obligations are filled... and getting peace there fills them.

So if you want less interacting with Jerusalem, he did the best thing for that.
