Fun fact: she sucks singing everything except Country music for some reason
I did a double-take when I heard her do The Carpenters' Top of the World, because she suddenly sounded like an actual Oprey singer.

This activity is way more fun than it has any right to be, but at the same time I really did notice how much Coco is sucking at singing. I don't mean she was a bit off key or that her voice isn't great. I mean, she really fucking sounded at times like a squalling sheep, plus being terribly off key and sometimes barely being able to sing the lyrics properly. Also, she's already sang most songs. The god damn spanish songs are the worst. I don't know why she does them. She might as well put on torture white noise and scream at the mic in several octaves. And yesterday was the worst by far I've ever heard. She was legit annoying.
Coco's singing voice is at a lower register than her Coco (or hell, even her Kson) voice, and she's slowly starting to learn that. Anytime she sings something and actually puts in effort it ends up pretty good, but she doesn't really want to do serious singing streams; there's a difference from watching Watame sing in a more organized environment and Coco; with Coco, it feels more like you're going to a karaoke bar and getting shitfaced with your friends. Nobody cares about how good or badly you sing, just as long as you sing and have fun with it.
do you guys think that becoming a vtuber, whether indie or within an agency, in the next 5 years or so will be a good idea at all?
What is your motivation for it? I personally want to do it because I think it'd be fun and I'd rather have an avatar rather than a facecam. This is the true issue with it; if you're doing it for profit, you're probably going at it the wrong way. It's the same with streaming or video making. Do it because you're having fun and if the opportunity to make money comes along, start putting effort into it.

I'm not even sure if there's any hugely successful male vtubers, so if you're male, good luck. Even the most successful Holostar (Roberu, 83k subs) has only managed a fraction of the lowest HoloID (Iofifteen, 147k subs). All of Holostars combined is less successful than Kanata. By herself. Unsure if this also holds true for superchats.

I think the play for males is to show your real face, be at least somewhat handsome and charismatic, and -- this is the hardest part -- get lucky enough to attach your name to something big while it's still emerging (ie Markiplier's symbiotic relationship with FNAF)
Na there are several big ones that are larger than some of the Hololive girls. Kuzuha and Kanae are both around 400-500k, Kizuku is around 300k and Chaika is 240k. And no lie, I may be slightly gay for Belmond's voice.

Not promoting their guys and having them interact and collab with their female vtubers is one thing that is holding Hololive back and limits them imo. I don't follow Nijisanji too much, the largest vtuber agency in Japan, but them having guys around gives a different vibe, feels more natural and definitely brings in the female audience and their thirsty fujoshi $$. And they have a lot of $$. Hololive having a bunch of gay girls is adorable and all that, but.. no lie I'm more invested in the Nijisanji couples even though I only watch a few clips occasionally.

Some "lolcowesque" moments I've noticed in the last few months of observing vtubers:

- Chaturbate ethots getting big "hoes mad" level of mad because ProjektMelody draws more weebs than they get paying simps for showing their irl faces

- Digitrevx, the designer of ProjektMelody's model, having a twitter feud with GHOSTDATA over Fentanyl Floyd riots that ended with GHOST blocking him

- Digitrevx having a falling out with Melody over contract and then going full lolcow and stating that other vtubers like IronMouse are only popular because Melody and having twitter battles with everyone

- Well known simps getting discouraged because their favorite vtubers are getting too big to pay attention for them

- Silvervale getting big mad over people mentioning IronMouse getting partnered in her stream

- ZR getting accused of sexism and inappropriate actions/comments and then shunned from the community

- Fluffy admitting to fucking a teenager

- Pokimane talking shit about vtubers and then having a vtuber avatar made for her to use once she realized the money she could make. She caught a lot of shit for it and I haven't seen her using it much since.

And that's just from popping in once in a while to observe discord chatter and twitter posts or watching a few streams of popular english vtubers, I can only imagine what shenanigans the hololive folks get up to.
Funny enough i can't seem to be find the link where digi(trevor) file a DMCA/IP for the rights of melody's model.

what are these vtubers smoking nowadays to commission scum stabbers like this clown and getting this kind of a mess ?!?!?

do people don't know we're on the times where a word means shit compared to a Legal contract that states things straight forward without double backs or butts about the matter ?!?!?!

holy damn we're doomed with these vtubers swarming around

Her Twitch page is back.

Large sites (most notoriously Youtube, but increasingly Twitch these days) tend to follow the rule of shoot first, ask questions later when it comes to DMCA takedowns. I imagine Melody only got her page back because she had the receipts.

Yeyeye i know im not like :toolate: to join the discussion and stuff.

i saw like 30 mins ago a link that headed to a copyright claim for the IP model of melody, it had all of digitrevx info irl, address etc.

what i found amazingly hilarious is he did it i guess 1 month or 2/3 weeks after he messaged her on twitter to tell her that she's the IP owner! but it seems i can't find it nor on lumen or anywhere D:

A few pages back I posted an archive link to Mel's discussion about it. Apparently there was enough evidence that almost immediately after Mel's response and contract receipts were posted they reinstated her profile.
To be fair, Digi did great work with her model. It was innovative and other than the tracking fuckups on her thumbs it worked well 90% of the time. The addition of the T0Ms and the jackrabbit dildo were well done. He just seems like the kind of dude who does feel too big for himself. Apparently Mel paid him $5k for the model etc...in the early days I had a chat with him on CB and he implied that there was over 50k invested in Melody just from startup lmao. He also used to make no secret of his dislike that Melody was wanting to collab with Silver and Ironmouse, there were at least a couple times where he mentioned in offline chat that he thought Mouse would get Mel unpartnered and deplatformed with her antics but lo and behold the thing that ended up getting Melody unpartnered was a fucking vibrator model that Digi had designed sitting in the background of a stream.
As much of a lolcow as Digi has proven to be I feel like Melody has some fault here too. She seems nice but naive and immature to the point where it wouldn't surprise me if she treated a contract arrangement like a shopping order on amazon and treated the terms like people treat the TOS on iTunes. So she probably did agree to some shit either verbally or explicitly in contract that made Digi think they had an ongoing arrangement when it seems like she kinda just wanted him to do the model and tracking software and bounce.

Bruh you look at this guy:

and then ask yourself: ''Do i want to make business without signing a contract with this guy?''

Yes mel have part of fault on this dont get me wrong on trying to feel pity for her all the way. since only a dumb sucker would pay 5k for a 3D model without arranging a damn contract of transaction of IP on paper and ink signed up from the artist/modeler.

But then again digi did hardcore leeching on her, which ended up on this clownfiesta to happening. again i can't seem to find the god damn link of the copyright IP claim from trevor but if i get to find it i post it right away

Edit1: that picture its taken from this tweet and i don't know if this is a legit source of this being trevor or not.

Edit2: Found the link 1 and here's the link number 2

The chest is specifically what makes me boggle.

I can't imagine someone with those melons weighing so little.
Japanese girls seem genetically modded to keep most their weight on their tits (part of why I fucking love 'em). For reference, Anri Okita is 1.68cm tall and 53kg with 36L breasts.

I dunno what it is, but God bless 'em.

Wonder if Moona will one day reach the point where she's able to eat there for free. Some time ago her mom called her fat and she decided to cope by eating 3 jumbo ramens (or Indomie?). She's only 52 kg as far as i know rn though. So it's not really all that bad. But i do find it interesting that she eats so much for a model (or perhaps ex model?).
It's all in the chest.

No, really.
Those jumbo ramens are no joke.
