Edit: Note that this won't happen, as the SCOTUS, especially with this hinging on the originalists and natural law-ist, will interpret state law and federal law, and I don't think any of the states have that as a rule per say. The only way they do so is if they have proof that there was some fuckery going on post 8 PM (or they accept that it's blatantly obvious, which aren't the same thing) and determine that's the only remedy possible.

I think the problem with that is that they're going to bring up difficulties in amassing a workforce due to COVID, however valid such excuses may be. If they do, I would hope that Trump's lawyers bring up that they could have called for their National Guard to assist, as Wisconsin had done. I worry that they haven't been following this as intently as we have, though-- not that they wouldn't get the damning accounts and evidences, but critical supplementary details such as what I mentioned about the NGs may have eluded them.

In general, I think it would be messy to just say that they should cut off counting at a given time (that, and, they wouldn't be able to enforce that for the same reason why they even have a good case for Pennsylvania to begin with). Especially because they didn't listen to SCOTUS the first time, you can't say for sure what ballots they already had. It might even be easier to recommend the state legislature to make a decision independent of the vote tallies given their unreliability in the face of fraud.
