The ABC news article on the tweet says the results are still being counted, so the first count.

OH NO THIS IS NOT GOOD

“In Pennsylvania, three Republican leaders told me they had already discussed the direct appointment of electors among themselves, and one said he had discussed it with Trump’s national campaign.

“I’ve mentioned it to them, and I hope they’re thinking about it too,” Lawrence Tabas, the Pennsylvania Republican Party’s chairman, told me. “I just don’t think this is the right time for me to be discussing those strategies and approaches, but [direct appointment of electors] is one of the options. It is one of the available legal options set forth in the Constitution.” He added that everyone’s preference is to get a swift and accurate count. “If the process, though, is flawed, and has significant flaws, our public may lose faith and confidence” in the election’s integrity.

Jake Corman, the state’s Senate majority leader, preferred to change the subject, emphasizing that he hoped a clean vote count would produce a final tally on Election Night. “The longer it goes on, the more opinions and the more theories and the more conspiracies [are] created,” he told me. If controversy persists as the safe-harbor date nears, he allowed, the legislature will have no choice but to appoint electors. “We don’t want to go down that road, but we understand where the law takes us, and we’ll follow the law.”

Republicans control both legislative chambers in the six most closely contested battleground states. Of those, Arizona and Florida have Republican governors, too. In Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, the governors are Democrats.”

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
DIRECT APPOINTMENT IS BEING DISCUSSED

this is the best election ever.

Not good for which side? I know that’s for all intents and purposes a nuclear option, but that’s something that has to be in play due to the sheer scale of this; especially if they really did spoil their ballots by mixing them against court order.
I would argue that talking about faithless electors giving it to Trump is straight-up coping, even with the blatant fraud.

Can they even do something like that without SCOTUS giving them the option?

There are social media posts of ballot workers boasting about throwing away GOP votes. Social media, for the blight it is, is an incredible weapon in the hand of someone just a little less dumb. All we need is one single stagist/ballot volunteer who personally received incriminating evidence from a big gun and who knows what skeletons in the closet might show up. Those "punishment for electoral fraud" google searches are quite juicy...

Looks like we'll get a collection of interesting posts to archive. :story:

Like I said in a different thread here, this is pretty much a Pyrrhic Victory for the Dems. They got Trump out and Biden and Harris are in, sure................but only at the cost of further dividing the populace, increasing the distrust they have amongst many due to all the fraud accusations (regardless of how much the MSM is trying to do damage control), and with a predominantly right-leaning SCOTUS and the like, it's only gonna get much harder for them to push through what they want. Had they not done any of the fraudulent actions, they would've been more respected, even if it resulted in a tighter win / four more years of Trump.

Winning only weakened them.

If the public at large was willing to roll over for the lockdowns and this despicable election, it can roll over to the Brave New World the Left has ushered us into. Never, ever underestimate the Left's success with getting away with things.

Don’t do it, think of all you have to vote for!
oh noooo not all the AOC fans who either will vote D anyway or don't even live in her district aaaa nooooo
Is this good or bad? AAAAAAAAA PLEASE SOMEONE EXPLAIN!
Could be good, if the state assembly Republicans understand the severity of the fraud and say we're appointing electors for Trump anyway.

Bets on whether this is an actual error, or more fraud?
It doesn't even matter. The fraud angle from Trump's side is mostly for propaganda purposes. The shot is to invalidate as many Biden votes as possible and they won't insist on technicalities.

MSM calls it for Biden and now suddenly Corona-chan isn't a problem?

As expected.
I think that the Democrats already revealed their ace card after the Biden “win”. With them calling for purges and dropping the mask, their supposed “unity” calls ring hollow. Trump wanted Biden to declare himself winner, and Biden and his team took the bait. Seeing as how the people calling for purges are now trying damage control, I think they know that the tides are shifting.
I don't think the establishment types would ever want a purge-- at least, they don't care enough to do so.

They're not faithless if they're Trump electors directly appointed by the PA state legislature.

This is objectively a good thing, the republicans should be prepped for every possible eventuality and course of action.

Something to note: even if the lid gets fully blown off and the fraud laid plain for all to see, plenty of Leftists (and not just career politicians but civilians too) will be perfectly fine with it. I’m willing to bet they aren’t nearly as dumb as they seem; anyone with a brain can see something’s not right here. I think this is more of a “the ends justify the means” rhetoric than anything else.

Even IF Trump takes this back, the Left will further demonize him and contend that fraud and MSM manipulation were necessary evils to dethrone Cheeto Hitler.

That’s how far gone they are now. They’ll sacrifice Democracy itself at the altar of Progress.

It means the State Legislatures in PA are considering whether to say that the PA final result is fraudulent and that the state’s electoral votes will go to whomever the state legislature wishes. While this is good in the immediate, if this rubicon is crossed then Democrats may go full Order 66 and do the same against Trump or some future candidate. However, from a less doomer view, it means that PA democrats are getting encircled. SC from one side, legislature on the other. They stall, direct appointment.

In chess, this is known as a fork.

The optics don't lend themselves to anything good, though. I think @HumanHive is psyched, but observe:

They won't need to go that far. They're going to instead say that Trump used his stacked court to steal the election.

They had 20 years to do it and they haven't yet.
