If the person has a history of lying, has a mental condition or something that otherwise makes them an untrustworthy witness or otherwise has connections to the case that may mar the tesitmony (e.g. They hate you and are very open about it), then you can't trust eyewitness testimony. The thing is none of those apply here, especially with multiple eyewitnesses all saying basically the same shit.

I'm actually sure that it ranks low in terms of direct (as opposed to circumstantial) evidence, and especially by itself. If you use it, you absolutely have to weave a convincing narrative that involves it. It's far from a smoking gun and its easy to produce, which is why false rape allegations are so tragic.
