Rate me autistic and pardon the word salad, but I can't help shake off the feeling that no matter what happens, we're fucked big, big time.
Trump wins the courts? Fine, but the insanity isn't going anywhere. His campaign promise of putting 'crooked Hillary behind bars' was nothing but hot air. People who are against him are obviously powerful and well entrenched, organizations that I assume are there to enforce the will of the federal government, such as the FBI, have financially ruined and politically assassinated many individuals who spoke out against the said corruption in the government. They're not going to do a thing about the Chinese or the Ukrainian connection with the Bidens, nor do any kind of investigation despite of damning evidence, even the alleged child pornography wasn't enough for FBI to consider it a substantial enough lead to investigate. The months upon months of riots this year alone will go completely unpunished, the physical damage, the monetary damage, and the erosion of trust between people isn't all going to magically heal overnight. The crackdown on free speech will continue, the rights out ancestors enjoyed are in fact being stripped away, and the quality of life gets worse and worse, despite all the fancy toys they throw at us as distraction.
None of this is going away. Those protests from years ago regarding SOPA and similar, what good did it do in the end where mainstream media and social media can freely censor the president if they so desire, as well as ban via algorithm any conservative talking points across the internet? They don't even need any bills, just revoke section 230 at this point.
The only thing that matters in the end, is power, preferably the violent kind as our ANTIFA/BLM friends have demonstrated. Laws aren't worth the paper they're written on if such vast chunks of the government and those with influence do not respect them, or even worse, only apply them to certain groups and individuals.
Biden hasn't even won yet, it's up to the courts now, yet the media is full blast naming him president elect. They're already assembling his staff, some of the crazies like AOC and similar have made their desire public to name and shame and spy on anyone significant who has supported Trump and his 'fascist reich'.. you genuinely think they're going to peacefully let the president serve a second term if the Supreme Court rules in Trump's favor?
Likewise, conservatives who feel the same way as I feel, the word salad I've written above, should they peacefully let Trump step down and let all of these forces retake the scraps of government Trump and his office was capable of wrestling away? What point is conservatism if we've been only capable of conserving two things, jack, and shit, over the past two decades?
All the memes, jokes, and salt aside, I am terrified of the future. The only silver lining is, I think the general public has never been this heavily armed before. There may be a bloodbath, there may not be, but those that are responsible for undermining the trust in the media, undermining the trust in the government, undermining the trust in our fellow neighbours, and undermining the trust in the election, they're still going to be around, and they're still going to be in power. And they're still going to be perfectly capable of fracturing the country as a whole into tribes and whipping one another into a bloodthirsty frenzy. That, I think, is the most tragic takeaway I'm getting.
