Libertarian 2020 presidential candidate Jo Jorgensen said Monday that if there are credible allegations of election irregularities, President Donald Trump should take his complaints to court.

In an interview with The Epoch Times’ “American Thought Leaders” program, Jorgensen suggested that many Americans could be left unhappy if media projections that declared former vice president Joe Biden as the winner of the election turn out to be incorrect, amid mounting legal challenges by the Trump campaign.

Jorgensen, a psychology lecturer at Clemson University, received over 1.7 million votes or about 1.2 percent of the popular vote—securing more votes, and a higher percentage of the vote, than all twelve presidential campaigns in the party’s history, except one.

Biden, as well as a number of media outlets, on Nov. 7 declared that he had won the presidential election. With ongoing counts and pending recounts, Trump has rejected Biden’s declaration, claiming that fraud is the reason for Biden’s lead in several states.

The Trump campaign has announced legal challenges in several states.

“We’ve got a court system for a reason, and we’ve got many problems with our country. … I see nothing wrong with people who have a legitimate complaint taken to a court. And we’ll just see what the court does,” Jorgensen said.

“My concern is that of course, what if it turns out that there were irregularities. What if Trump really is the president, after the media have told everybody that Biden appears to be the winner?” Jorgensen continued.

“Now there’s going to really be a lot of unhappy people, because after being told one thing and then have it yanked out from under you, I mean, that’s not a good situation.”

The Libertarian’s candidates remarks came as Attorney General William Barr authorized federal prosecutors across the country to “pursue substantial allegations” of voting irregularities, according to media reports citing what appears to be a leaked memo obtained by The Associated Press.

The Epoch Times has yet to receive a response from the Department of Justice for comment.

“I authorize you to pursue substantial allegations of voting and vote tabulation irregularities prior to the certification of elections in your jurisdictions in certain cases, as I have already done in specific instances. Such inquiries and reviews may be conducted if there are clear and apparently credible allegations of irregularities that, if true, could potentially impact the outcome of a federal election in an individual State,” read part of the 2-page internal memo.

The memo was sent to U.S. attorneys, assistant attorneys general for the criminal division, civil rights division, national security division, and the director of the FBI.

“Any investigation of claims of irregularities that, if true, would clearly not impact the outcome of a federal election in an individual State should normally be deferred until after the election certification process is completed. While U.S. Attorneys maintain their inherent authority to conduct inquiries and investigations as they deem appropriate, it will likely be prudent to commence any election-related matters as a preliminary inquiry so as to assess whether available evidence warrants further investigative steps.”

Jorgensen suggested that the media could be setting “unrealistic expectation levels” in declaring Biden President-elect before results are certified by state legislatures and the Electoral College.

“If I were Trump, and I thought there were irregularities, I would certainly go to court to present my case. That’s what the American way is all about,” Jorgensen added.

The Epoch Times Editorial Board will not declare a winner until all results are certified and any legal challenges are resolved across the country.

I was never a Trump fan, I've been inclined to be left-wing politically, but this phenomenon is one of many that made me reconsider my political leanings and beliefs. Nowadays I see "media" and "tech" to be essentially one and the same in many ways. So many people have dumped cable and subscription newspapers that mainstream media outlets that advertise online have more pull.

I'm going to sperge, sorry. Haven't figured out how to make a "spoiler" yet. I'm not going into why I was historically left leaning as I don't want to identify myself. My thoughts to explain my change in attitude and my current distrust in the left and the institutions that have it in their pockets:

So many Trump fans I've known were normal people, many of them far from the "white rich male" stereotype. The character assassination of any and all Trump fans seemed like hyperbole. Character smears of Melania seemed cruel, as she wasn't actively doing anything political, and she was an immigrant who came from a war-torn country. She didn't choose to be First Lady. I can see people's aversion to things he said, his personality, the fact he didn't denounce certain groups, etc., but to claim he was the first president to have racist inclinations, have deviant sexual proclivities, have endless golfing trips and to allow his kids to profit off his political seat are delusional. Bush 2 had a way of fumbling and saying the wrong thing at the wrong time and he had numerous skeletons in the family closet, Clinton also had bad habits. Trump wasn't the first problematic president. As far as family grift is concerned, US politics has been rife with bi-partisan nepotism and depravity for as long as I can remember.

While I felt there was foreign involvement in the 2016 election, I also felt tech companies were complicit in that they didn't safeguard against trolls. Micro-targeting Russia as "the bad guy" seemed bizarre to me.. if they managed to sway the election, who's fault was that? US technology and media companies allowed it to happen. I also felt that there was no reason to believe the Democrats were "above" utilizing foreign companies to push their own agenda. Why pay US citizens minimum wage to troll online if you can pay foreigners pennies on the dollar? I also felt all the endless legal wrangling and impeachment aimed at Trump was hot air, just a circus show to keep people preoccupied. Nobody actually accomplished anything by constantly attacking him. I imagine they never managed to oust Trump in part because so many politicians are already "dirty". Many of the politicians who wanted him impeached probably have their own skeletons, so nothing ever materialized from their efforts.

In hindsight, I believe US social media backed Obama in 08 and 12, Trump in 2016. I remember facebook pushing Obama hard, putting out conspiracy theories about McCain and Romney. In 2016, they must have realized a Republican administration would give tech companies more freedom and leeway for a few years, as Republicans normally vote pro-business no matter what the long term repercussions are. Now they got what they wanted, so they dumped Trump like a hot rock. It was Trump's administration that made it legal for cable, telephone and internet companies to harvest users' data and use that data for their own purposes. (Now I try to look up this legislation, but of course internet search engines bury it). Hopefully some people here remember that. I wonder if the Republicans who voted to pass this legislation a few years back knew that this was going to bite them back, and hard.

The bizarre social media pogroms that happened around July 1st of this year (the first of the fiscal year) made me open my eyes. It seemed as if social media and tech backed Biden with all their might, and this struck me as biased, immoral and dangerous. I also felt it would hurt Biden in the long run, as it would give Trump a legitimate argument to attack "mainstream media". As much as I was always left-leaning, I smelled a rat with these developments. I already knew cable news largely turned their backs on Trump. Social media and tech started pushing the transhumanist talking points, too, censoring people who spoke out against pedophilia, censoring people who questioned transitioning children without parental consent, censoring women who didn't want to be redefined by the trans lobby. Just try to google topics like "pedophilia" and "domestic violence", and you'll get endless hits of pedo-apologism and articles about transwomen. The internet is SO different than it was 20-25 years ago, I can't even begin to tell younger people how different it was. It was so much easier to communicate without censorship, to find things you wanted, to price-compare, to get legit info about any given topic. Now you can't even trust online dictionaries-- words are being redefined every day to suit the Woke narrative. News sources that promoted right wing ideas and conservative ideas are now buried. Contacting social media administrators about the flagrant hate hurled at certain populations and biased search results are met with deafening silence.

The way in which flagrant violence and destruction was (and still is) perpetuated by BLM and ANTIFA was hidden from public was ominous to me. I had no problem with either until it seemed they were just out to destroy things for the sake of destruction. The infiltration of trans-extremists in both groups made them seem less credible to me. I had to dig to find coverage of the destruction of storefronts and buildings in many cities. Don't people realize it's often immigrants and "people of color" who own and operate urban businesses? Where was the outrage in these storefronts being smashed? How was attacking a mom-and-pop a way of "getting back at the man"? None of these "activists" are going after those mega conglomerates who are really responsible for reducing the well being of so many people. Why is the media hiding this? Why is the media supporting the destruction of churches and government buildings? Why are popular figures promoting this as "peaceful"? Why are they supporting "Defund the police!"? Why are corporations promoting this ideology in lockstep? There has to be a profit motive behind it, as racial strife has been going on for decades. One article I read suggested that powers that be want to make "police" virtual, as in using our own technology to spy and report on us. Makes sense as surveillance technology would be a huge profit motive for many corporations. There are already calls in places like Scotland for people to be persecuted for "hate speech" at home, and politicians are suggesting that technology like Alexa should be used for those purposes. Talk to some people online in Scotland. This is happening right now. It could happen in the US.

I can't understand how people on the left side of the political spectrum can't see the danger in allowing tech and media to back one horse over the other. Technological interference in voting has to be stopped. Elections have to be valid, or calling ourselves a democracy is a joke. Don't they remember the 2000 elections? Don't they understand that next election, it could easily be their least-favored candidate who will win via propaganda and trickery? I've seen so many elections, and never in my life have I seen counts being "stopped" in battleground and large leads by one candidate being erased in lockstep in such a small time period in the dead hours of the morning.

While I believe Covid should be taken seriously, people who suffer the most from Covid the most usually have pre-existing conditions, are men over 50, have diabetes and heart disease. I bite my lip and won't power level here, but this is reality. While I believe safeguards are needed against pandemics, the safeguards now seem over-the-top for most people, and countless people are suffering because of them. There are massive lockdowns in Europe, and people are getting fined like crazy for simply having dinner with their small families. If this happens in other "first world countries", it could happen here. Now there's some vaccine being pushed by Pfizer, and any criticism or caution against it is being censored on platforms like Twitter. Ominous. Anyone with any knowledge about history in terms of pharmaceuticals knows that caution is necessary. Has anyone heard of Thalidomide babies? I'm definitely not "anti-vaxx", but I'm not lining up for this inoculation unless I'm threatened with unemployment.

Does anyone know what the main reason was behind tech dumping Trump? Platforms like Reddit and Facebook pushed him hard in 2016. Was it his criticism of China? Was it his aversion to the trans agenda? Was it his criticism of pharmaceuticals, who have been deeply involved in tech for some time? Did tech see COVID as a way to push candidates that would allow complete destruction of privacy for citizens, and who would push total invasion of people's lives by intrusive technology? Did they see that Republicans would be averse to eradication of privacy for citizens? If you look up "the Great Reset", it seems the "great minds" who are behind it predicted just that. This is what they wanted. The Great Reset isn't an invention of conspiracy theorists, as it's a real thing.
Social media didn't necessarily "side" with Trump in 2016, they just let him and his supporters have their say unimpeded. Then once Trump won, they were beseiged on all sides by people who do nothing but sperg out on Twitter all day, and thus listened to them.

Hence, anything that doesn't scream "ORANGE MAN BAD" is now "bothsidesism" or "misinformation" or "unfounded conspiracy theories". Ugh, reading those hackneyed NPC buzzwords ALWAYS get sand and salt in my asshole.

Maybe an entry tax? Want to buy a home or register a car, and you haven't lived in the state at least two years, give us x% of your net worth. You can carve out exceptions so the net lets the good guys through, but punishes the bad guys. Working class people don't need to be hassled, people sponsored by a for-profit firm within the state should be welcomed, health care workers and such are okay. Federal government employees are obviously exempt. Basically keep out "nonprofits," community organizers, that sort of thing.

Has anyone ever seen his daughter? I've heard "her" voice, but it could be a man with a talent for voice acting. Molyneux used to be an actor, right?
Personally, I'd take the Bob Barker approach; spay and neuter all blue invaders.

On a either a definite Biden or Trump choice, who do you think will win this? No dooming unless you have reasons to doom over a Trump loss.
Trump is giving off confidence that he is getting four more years.

Biden is a cuckold when at first opportunity when he had the chance to declare victory, he passed and has the media doing his homework.

The question is now, does Trump and Mitch know something that is making the democrats super paranoid with their bullshit if Biden truly won and as of right now, looks like the winner.

Social media employees seem to be true believers themselves, which makes sense since they're located mostly in the same metro area.

Academic Agent's buddy Mr Dee just referred to AOC as 'that execrable barmaid'.

AA reckons 'it can easily go either way but the Cathedral is so exposed that even if Biden wins they've still lost. What are they going to do when farmers stop complying. They grow the food and build the buildings. The elite has no power once they lose the majority of the people'.

True, but at the time they thought Hillary had it in the bag like everyone else. Only when they realized that the Right was using their platform did they go into SHUT IT DOWN mode.

Trump is defiant as fuck and taking even a bolder stand.
I wouldn't back down if I were him. There should be no arguments against confirming that questionable election results be validated. People allowed Gore to contest 2000 results. If Trump isn't allowed the opportunity to do so, we can't call ourselves a democracy anymore. It's so obvious some fuckery went on, and I'm saying this as someone who's not a registered Republican.

To those who might say "Cope!"... Keep in mind that YOUR "guy" could lose out via election shenanigans in 2024.

What exactly are you terrified of?

Well, looking back at my not-so-fond memories of the Obama years I'm scared of going back to:

-Gas prices that, at their peak, were slightly above $5/gallon in my state
-Endless drone strikes, scuffles, and new engagements. I keep hearing Mike Stoklasa screaming in my head, only instead of "ENDLESS TRASH" it's "ENDLESS WARS".
-Back to being required to buy healthcare insurance that I don't want, can't afford, and did nothing to help me or my health issues or my ability to pay for medication I need. "Affordable care act" my dying ass.
-Inflation even worse than it is now. And don't fucking tell me there isn't and wasn't inflation, I don't care what some faggot economist in DC who's never stepped foot inside a Walmart says, I care about what my own eyes see at the price tag when I grab a loaf of bread.
-Going back to the same bleeding-heart policies that repealed Glass-Stegal and directly lead to the 08 collapse.
-Levels of illegal immigration like they used to be. Importing refugees like we used to.
-Going back to giving money to international organizations that did nothing for either us or the rest of the world, never accomplished their goals or made any headway towards them, pushed far-left ideology, and constantly bitched about the US no matter what we did or didn't do
-Persistent unemployment levels that hung over everyone and everything like a miasma

And that's only if things are pretty much a copy of the Obama years and Uncle Joe doesn't add all the things he says he would and the current situation with Big Tech and the media doesn't keeping going the way it has been.

Biden.

Trump has to win a majority of his lawsuits/recounts in multiple states, but beyond that the actual rulings have to be strong enough to actually reverse the result. Its not enough to say "yeah the Dems did an illegal fraud whoopsie", it has to be something hard-hitting enough to flip the damn states or at least force them into (supervised) recount.

That being said, I've watched card players on the edge of their seat waiting for unrealistic turn/river hits, never giving up hope that their 1/24 chance is going to make it. So fuck it, Trump 2020! I ain't giving up hope until the end.

Here's my latest take, now that the fraud claims are gaining traction: some people will be punished for it, but no DNC bigwigs, even if they find that Joe or his handlers sent out an email that reads "shit guys, we're losing, fire up the Ballot-o-Matics!"

The only ones who will be held accountable, if any, are no-name poll workers who got caught.
TBH, I don't think it really matters. If the way they've been (apparently) cheating for years gets fixed, they are going to be voted out soon after, if for no reason other than the Democrats not wanting these failures associated with the party. It doesn't even matter if Trump flips enough states, if all of this is shut down and states fix all of the cheating.

Apologize Now to lolberts.

They’re cheating was just like the cat in your icon. Lazy.
