Perhaps they will do an EFAP Movie with him to help loosen the tensions from Bly Manor. Not that they really exist in a way that requires mending, but it's symbolic.

Critical Drinker is definitely one of the people Dan Olson is referring to in his 'Annihilation and Decoding Metaphor' video.

Only two things I remember is the bear scene and it came out around the time Ghostbuster 2016. The time everyone was jacking off about the "female scientists hurr durr" trope but instead of talking about a movie that's putting in some effort (Annihilation, I know not everyone's a scientist in there) everyone was raving and raging about the bland blockbuster one (GB2016). It was around that time I realized that nobody loud has any actual causes they just want a popular platform to scream and shout from how much they care but not really.

As much as I hate to give Dan Olson any credit (hell, I started the thread for him here on the Farms), a broken clock is still right twice a day I guess.

Why is there a channel that does audio-only EFAPs? It feels redundant at best and reductive at worst. The main draw as well at only thing giving EFAP a semblance of structure is that they are dissecting other people's videos. The visual aspect is important.

Even when I was a fan, I would put EFAP has background noise while working / gaming. I also did it with his reviews, It rarely needs the visual aid to work.
I don't think I'm in the minority on that one.
That's one of the reasons I find his tendency to over-edit his videos funny. I'm convinced very few people actually watch the whole thing.

That's why I said it was redundant at best. The only reason why I would look at the video sometimes was to tell who was talking when I couldn't tell some speakers apart. The visual aspect is definitely important in the EFAP Minis and Movies. I suppose that audio-only can take up less disk space or is more useful for editing fan videos. Maybe that is the reason.

Obviously not. I suppose it is nice that MauLer is acknowledging a small fan channel. I really can't hold it against him.

It's amazing how accurate Dan Olson's description of reviews on Annihilation is to Critical Drinker's video. I can't believe I'm agreeing with the same guy who tried to take down 8chan by downloading CP but he is completely correct on how people like Critical Drinker disregard any actual attempt to analyze a film on any level that isn't literal. That's a major issue with EFAP and it's irritating that they're discouraging their audience from analysis and to instead judge films like Annihilation as dumb because it isn't direct enough.

Hey. First time posting. Don’t know if this is of interest but some of the EFAP fans went at Robot Head in the comments of his The Boys Season 2 video. Apparently he is having a go at the EFAP gang. I like Robot Head’s videos and it seems like he has been distancing himself from EFAP for a while. He’s had to take down the original version as it was getting blocked. The new version looks to also be having problems. From what I’ve heard through a youtuber friend is that someone complained to YouTube about the video. Nice find, Robot Head isn't even on my radar. I only remember that he was the first one to hate Mandalorian and got tons of shit for it.
Also the video having to be re-uploaded totally killed the view count.
