I see it too. From her weight, and the skinny face her hands look like they belong to a fat person. It doesn't look very comfortable since it might be a lot of fluid retention.

If I had to guess it might be her kidney's giving out from all the painkillers and pills she pops from the doctors. There's only so much the body can take before it decides it's had enough of your bullshit. And her body is being put through a lot.

Not my field, but could also be a heart issue: heart beat needs a certain strength and blood needs a certain pressure to bring fluids back and forth in the body, and if not, it fucks with the parts furthest away from the heart first

Also sounds like she's trying for another "mouth" thing soon, whether this is a second try at "something weird is happening with my lips" or another round of ripping out her own fillings is left to be determined I suppose. Anyone else worry that "chompy heavy post" could end up being a hint at another poisoning of her cat? I always kind of wonder if she hopes one of these other hooks will catch so she can stop focusing on re-destroying her legs, although it seems she's well past the point of no return there.

Why have they not taken her legs yet? It's the inevitable ending to her munching, to become an amputee - she might actually get enough attention out of that to leave her body alone for a while. It would probably solve several problems, as in she'd have shit to actually worry about such as mobility and learning to walk with prosthetics should she choose that route. The surgery team knows that she's non-compliant (i.e. self-destructive) with wounds. Taking her legs would treat the immediate problem of her legs rotting off. It won't treat her mental illness, and it won't stop her from continuing to mutilate the leftover stumps from an amputation.
