Even if you get the flu you only have a 50% chance of developing classic symptoms. Such you could be asymptomatic and spread the flu.

As to the CDC recommendations on facemasks, they actually recommend wearing a facemask during peak flu season.

So I suspect, since you listen to the CDC and all my sources are the CDC, and you are not a selfish asshole you will continue to wear a mask even during regular flu season.

People should consider wearing a facemask during an influenza pandemic if …​

They are sick with the flu and think they might have close contact with other people (within about 6 feet). They live with someone who has the flu symptoms (and therefore might be in the early stages of infection) or will be spending time in a crowded public place and thus may be in close contact with infected people. During a pandemic, people should limit the amount of time they spend in crowded places and consider wearing a facemask while they are there.

So yes, I am following CDC guidelines since I didn't have the flu in the past few years. Apparently you can't read, though. Why are you so against wearing masks to help protect others?
