Wow. I had kind of a lousy day, but now I feel ... well, mildly amused anyway. I actually feel bad for the big ol' potato. (Or I do until I remember he's an insufferable cunt.) Speculation: the Escapist firing and the election have melded to ignite the beginning of the end for Bob. Lindsay is (much as I loathe her) on an upward trajectory, with real success in the entertainment industry: book deal (with presumably more coming), working for PBS, etc. She's on that cusp between e-fame and real fame, and while I doubt she'll ever be more than modestly famous, she does have an image to protect. Which is difficult when people think you freely associate with an Olympic class asshole like MovieBob.

Where the election comes in is that -- at least for now, while Biden looks to be the next Pres, and with the Democrats tearing each other new assholes over whether it was the progressives' fault they stepped on a rake downballot -- I think there's going to be a modest effort not to come across as bad winners. It's one thing to piss on Middle America while you're out of power; it's another when Middle America just demonstrated they're willing to kick the loudmouth ass out of the White House but not his party. Bob, of course, has no interest in playing nice. With not even the scraps of clout from an Escapist gig, Bob is just an unhinged shithead in a sea of them, who has a blue checkmark for no particularly good reason. Lindsay can not only afford to scrape him off -- she may feel that she has to.

this shit right here is why I believe with all my heart that the two very similar Massholes of the farms, Bob and Dobson, are both autistic AF. They both lack severely in the social interaction/interpretation department and thus don't take hints, believe anyone who agrees with their shitty political takes to be their "friend", think cartoon/video game characters are their friends (Link for Dobson; Mario for Blob) and autistically virtue signal.
