Eight states[0] still have electronic voting systems without paper backups. They're un-auditable. I'm not going to weigh in on the current politics of this situation, but US Election security is awful, now, and since at least 2000.

I actually did my degree thesis on designing electronic voting systems (and built one), and ultimately concluded it was impossible to make them fully secure. The best you can do is paper backups and random audits to detect anything illicit followed by a full audit if that fails. No paper backups results in it being undetectable.
Computers are good at making things more efficient, but in terms of election security the inefficiency is a feature (i.e. it takes more people to alter votes, and the more people you add the harder a lie is to keep).

There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.

Trump gave the GOP the chance to turn the tide with the Hispanic vote. The fact of the matter is that a large amount of Hispanic families are very religious, socially conservative, and are hard workers. It only makes sense for conservative voices to get their asses out there to spread the message.

If "demographics are destiny," then the GOP has more than a solid chance to make those demographics work in their favor. Trump gave them the start to do so; let's see if they are actually smart enough to follow through post-Trump (whenever that is).

However it likely also means that the Randian/laissez-faire economic wing will get less focus, although members of that group seemed to be drifting away from the GOP anyway. After all, the Democrats seem to be perfectly fine with protecting outsourcing and transnational finance, and there's no negative social stigma associated with being a Democrat in the mainstream culture.

2: It's incredibly fucking sus. An audit means ALL votes recounted. I believe this is a mislabeled audit that is meant to be a final check to make sure the voting machines are accurate from a sample. not a complete audit.

The article said a random batch was selected and those passed. Did AZ have last minute ballots show up? how many votes did some counties get because some are closed out for nov. 4.
