Yup, I agree. One of my husband's friends is a doctor (first year as one, too ... I don't envy him, let's just put it that way); he's in major city right now and over the past month or so, he's seen the hospital fill up a little bit more and more every day.

Last week: *absolute media silence about COVID*

Last weekend: *media cheering on all of the Biden celebration super spreader events while further ignoring COVID*

This week, when the lawsuits drop and more info about sketchy voter shit starts to continuously creep out: "Shit what do we do? Um ... COVID CASES ARE BIGGER THAN EVER! THE DARK WINTER IS HERE! THANKSGIVING IS CANCELED! REEE!"

There's a general precept in US law you don't allow a litigant to profit from illegal activity. It's why a drug addict can't sue their dealer for selling them adulterated heroin. But elections are governed by the Constitution and then by laws various state legislatures have passed so it more complicated. If it's a tort, it's against the American people as a whole. Property disputes don't really have much to do with elections so I'd say it a stretch its applicable.

Like when they dragged him out onto the campaign at the eleventh hour after Biden's appalling performance in the second debate. It was obvious that he didn't want to go to bat for Biden, but they needed someone to do damage control. Almost everything the democrats and Biden have done since the lawsuits were announced has filled me with confidence in Trump's chances.

But I admit I have no idea how street level democrats and liberals are reacting to the news, if it's even finding its way through the MSM to their ears.

As far as I know, the ones ensconced in the media bubble are convinced Biden won fair and square, and there's no fraud. (Or you get the "both sides do it anyway".)

I mean, you don't even need to look far on this site. The saying where we're both watching the same events, but two different movies has never been more apt. I oft wonder if we, too, are being clouded by our own biases.

Actually, the only part of Canada that's not even considering lockdowns or closures for the forseeable future are the Atlantic provinces. Quebec is even considering shutting down schools due to the number of rising cases over there and is making those other provinces wondering what they're doing right that the rest of Canada is doing so wrong.

Took me a while to learn this. Most people around the world actually like Americans. We tend to be very friendly, generous and kind. People from everywhere come to visit New York City, Los Angeles and Miami.

Do you know what they have in Quebec in winter? Plenty, but also something that's called a sugar shack. I read about it and want to try it. It's like a giant feast of smoked meats, soups, paté. Bet they have pretty good bread and cheese too. With sleigh rides. Did you ever do it, Jewelsmakerguy?

I doubt that will happen (though I would love to be proven wrong). Lots of close elections come down to the wire because of one state.

This election is dealing with several states, therefore I wouldn't bet on the SCOTUS nullifying Biden's entire candidacy if Trump's legal team can only prove fraud in one state.
