I feel like women are way worse for that than men, just because they don't face consequences. The worst rejections I've had involve asking for a number/socials at the end of a semester, and the weird part is the next year the girl still acts like we're friends.

The newer youtube algorithms are pretty pinpoint accurate to "shit similar to shit youve watched recently", especially if you put youtube on for background noise or music frequently. You could be subscribed to like 100 guys but if you havent watched one of them, or shit like their content recently, but instead watched like certain music channels for instance, your youtube frontpage wont show you anything at all like that content and instead by a hyper-focus feed of "#music #indie #vlogs #streams".

It was this way before but I noticed it got extremely pointed when they added that bar at the top that literally is just "categories for you based on SEO hashtags from videos youve watched fully"--so I could imagine there are people who at one point subscribed to MovieBob but completely forgot about him and dont follow him on twitter. Or maybe people who were subscribed and might watch a MovieBob video (which they wont since they wont show up on the dashboard) because they dont otherwise follow him closely enough to know about his social media shit.

There are people who avoid a lot of social media altogether, and they arent all boomers (fuck Id even speculate, as with facebook, I imagine its usually more millennials who back away from it and are jaded from some aspects of it).

I've thought the exact same thing myself. The thing is that the "Down the Rabbit Hole" videos tend to be an "after the fact" type of documentary series. As bad as things seem for Bob now you just know he'll somehow find a way to top himself in the future. He is a workhorse of a lolcow and until the moment he literally dies it might be premature to make a "Down the Rabbit Hole" vid on him.
