The Georgia Legislature has been tepid, but supportive of Trump. Don't expect them to go full "Fuck it,w e select our own electors", but also don't expect them to quietly bow out right away. There is a question how much power they have, but its not non existent.

I was under the impression that some of what was present in PA was sworn testimony under oath, but I guess I was wrong. I'm aware that affidavits aren't cross-examined, but I'm surprised they're not admissible as evidence.

It's very limited what they can be used for as evidence. They're generally considered hearsay and inadmissible because they're an out of court statement used to prove the matter asserted in the affidavit. But they can be used as evidence for other non-hearsay purposes, like that a witness previously made a different statement than he is now making, or any of the many, many other exceptions (which are not worth an autistic 20 page dissertation here).
