I think Null is onto something pointing out the dehumanizing aspect of modern art illustration. While the prominence of the flat vector art style has a lot to due with convenience and laziness (each vectorized person acting like stock photo you can reuse and get deadlines done before lunch); the fact the are using these heavily distorted people people, lacking any gender or race is telling. I've seen "flat styled" lazy vector art that was not that off putting; using a cartoonish figures that are at least somewhat proportional, and you can tell their sex and race.
The comparison to Javascript is very apt. This art style is like peering into the soul of Soydevs and their fellow oversocialized urbanite bugmen.

The bit about alegria was interesting. I too had noticed the "cubist blob people" art style permeating Silicon Valley, but I didn't know there was a name for it. It's showing up a lot on Apple's site, for example on this press release. It's like it tries so hard to be unoffensive that it wraps back around to being quite repulsive.

I nearly spit out my drink when Josh quoted that tweet about TERFS.
I went to elementary school through high school with the tranny who made that tweet. We used to be pretty good friends and our families used to hang out together. I haven’t spoken to them since they transitioned since they went off the deepend. They used to be totally normal and fine, now they talk about killing police despite his dad being a cop.

What you said about gays is extremely true imo. I've never met or dated one that wasn't a freak sexually. That includes myself. I think being gay essentially is being a sexual freak, even if it's not PC to say that. Any gay who isn't a SJW or trying to benefit from their status politically or socially would agree with you imo.
There's enough evidence scientifically to suggest that there's some kind of mechanism where faggotry might help promote genetic diversity through the birth order and all that shit, but there's no denying that it's a sexual aberration all the same. Yeah this new art form is as soulless and sterile as the coperations that use it. Just comes across as androgynous and inoffensive in every way even all the sharp corners are rounded. No character no flare even worse then 80-90's clip art. It is so simple that it wouldn't surprise me if you can create an AI program that could create any image by inputting various parameters. It would then spit out unique images using this style corresponding to what ever the parameters were, or it could scan an image and convert it into this art style dehumanizing anything about the image.
