JonTron's saving grace was this actual revenue generating content isn't political. He took his licks, but it didn't really hurt him that bad because most people that watch his content don't give a shit, and that stuff never violated TOS on his channel. I mean it's not really hard to elaborate why Bob's political views are extreme given how much he wishes for essentially the Neoliberal Corporate Equivalent of Nazi Germany/Mao's China where anyone who is stupid or right wing are put into death camps or treated as lesser humans while science is the priority of everything.
I think she woulda gone after him for that Tweet if he was working for the Escapist or not (and she coulda gotten him fired if he was). I think this was the final straw in a long building annoyance, as we can see from that email where she said as much to a stranger. He creeped her out, but he never did anything big enough to warrant her caring enough to openly berate him. This was the spark that ignited the long-standing hatred and made her act.
