Wuhan Coronavirus: Lockdowns, Quarantines, Cancellations

Philly's gonna start restricting again on Monday. I look forward to bread lines and no toilet paper.

Enough already. Can't we all just rebel or something?

Guys we're all in this together. Just two weeks to flatten the curve. Alone together.
All those sappy feelgood slogans ring hollow when our leaders openly flout the restrictions they impose.

The likes of Cuomo and Brown are no where near the level of destitution as much of their constituents are heading.

There's no silver lining for any of this, they're more than happy to steer the economy into the field of icebergs.

Enough already. Can't we all just rebel or something?
Tinfoil hat time - The thing is, even if every single person decides to ignore the message that they sky is falling and goes about their lives as normal... something else will happen. A different virus might magically appear and ACTUALLY be as deadly as Covid19 was said to be. There's more to this thing than just an illness making the rounds.

Warehouse stores have already run out here in anticipation of another lame and gay shelter in place order to likely be announced tomorrow or Monday.

Heard a bunch of family members saying they weren't doing Thanksgiving because, in their words, "the government said not to". I'm okay with it, in fact probably moreso than they will be when I cut off all contact with them the second I move out.

I'm not bugged by the lockdown, as here in Italy we've been the epicenter of the continental epidemic and people were legitimately dropping dead like flies. I'm infuriated at the complete lack of logic of this stupid government of ours.

Bars and restaurants in my region and all over the country took the first guidelines very seriously. My local train station cafe spent a considerable amount of money following them. The owners installed a plexiglass barrier over the counter, put markers on the floor for distancing and gave its staff those fancy wide head plastic helmets. Now I've been there again and they were forced to shut down the bar area entirely. You followed the rules? Spent a lot of money? Good, now shut down. The bar staff has been put on leave and the business hangs on cigarettes sales. Said cigarettes from today are forbidden (I shit you not) on one-way roads. Let's say you're walking back home on a deserted one-way road and want to smoke a cigarette? You'd get fined.

Meanwhile, a good 20% of my city shops shut down permanently. Nobody I know received a single euro from the state. Christmas and New year's Eve markets and celebrations have been cancelled. I can't describe the atmosphere of gloom and doom in the air. Oh and the regular flu vaccine is impossible to find anywhere, my mom and dad are in the high-risk range and they've been calling doctors, pharmacies and medical offices every single day for the last month. I don't even want to think what will happen when we'll be needing millions of covid vaccines.

When will all of this be over? What will be left of this country?

Washington State is going into another lockdown: https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy...ties-as-covid-19-cases-surge-across-the-state
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee will implement new sweeping restrictions on businesses and activities as the state reported over 2,000 cases a day over the weekend and average coronavirus cases in the state have doubled in the past two weeks.
“This spike puts us in a more dangerous a position as we were in March,” Inslee said during a press conference Sunday. “And it means, unfortunately, the time has come to reinstate restrictions on activities statewide to preserve the public’s well-being, and to save lives. These were very difficult decisions that have very real consequences to people’s livelihoods. I recognize that and don’t take those impacts lightly, but we must act now and act quickly to slow the spread of this disease.”
WALMART RESUMES COUNTING CUSTOMERS IN STORES DUE TO CORONAVIRUS SURGE
According to Inslee's new order, bars and restaurants will no longer be allowed to offer indoor seating. Outdoor seating will be allowed as long as proper safety protocols are followed, including tables being limited to no more than five people at a time. Restaurants will still be able to offer their customers to go orders.
All in-store retail, including grocery stores, will be limited to 25% capacity, and lingering in seated areas is off-limits. Religious services will also be limited to 25% indoor occupancy or no more than 200 people, with face coverings required at all times. No choir, band, or ensemble shall perform during the service.

In addition, all business meetings are prohibited. Only professional training and testing that cannot be done remotely is allowed will be allowed. Occupancy for meetings is limited to 25% or 100 people, whichever is fewer. Professional services must allow employees to work from home when posible and close offices to the public. If offices must remain open, occupancy is restricted to 25%.
Gyms will be prohibited from offering indoor services, though outdoor fitness classes can continue as long as they don’t exceed five people in a group. Meanwhile, entertainment venues like movie theaters, bowling alleys, museums and zoos will all be banned from offering indoor service, though drive-in theaters will still be allowed to operate under previously laid out restrictions. Long-term care facilities can only offer outdoor visits, with exceptions for end-of-life care.
Weddings and funeral receptions will be limited to no more than 30 people and youth and adult sports must be held outside only with all athletes wearing maksks. Personal services, such as barber shops and salons, are also limited to 25% capacity and real estate open houses are prohibited.

Inslee is also cracking down on indoor gatherings ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, noting that gathering with those outside your home will be banned unless everyone involved quarantines for two weeks and tests negative for the virus.
The restrictions are statewide and will take effect Monday, November 16 at 11:59 p.m. and will remain in effect until Monday, December 14. The modified restrictions of restaurants, however, will take effect Wednesday, November 18 at 12:01 a.m. Inslee noted the new guidance does not apply to education, including K-12 instruction and higher educational settings.
NEW YORK'S ROLLBACK OF CORONAVIRUS REOPENINGS THREATENS RENTAL MARKET RECOVERY
As of Friday evening, Washington's health department reported a total of more than 127,000 coronavirus cases, with more than 9,200 people currently hospitalized and more than 2,500 related deaths. Saturday saw 2,233 new confirmed cases in one day, breaking a single-day record set Friday.
The new restrictions are the latest widespread effort to mitigate the virus' spread since the state's stay-at-home order from March 23 until the end of May.
In order to help mitigate the financial impacts on businesses and their employees, Inslee said the state would commit $50 million in aid. Businesses can also apply for forgivable loans through the Small Business Administration's Paycheck Protection Program or from their local bank.

The governor's announcement comes as President-elect Joe Biden’s scientific advisers will meet with vaccine makers in the coming days as the presidential transition remains stalled because of President Donald Trump’s refusal to acknowledge that he lost the election. Inslee has not publicly commented on crowds during the celebrations across the country for Biden, which saw no social distancing, although the majority of participants wore masks.
Last week, Pfizer and BionTech announced that the latest trials of their COVID-19 vaccine candidate showed 90% effectiveness, giving many hope that an end to the pandemic could be coming soon.
However, Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, warned that it won't be like flipping the switch to return to normal life when the when the first vaccine doses become available for high-risk groups, most likely next month. He said Americans will have to keep up preventive measures such as wearing masks, observing social distancing and frequently washing their hands well into next year.
“Everybody is sensitive to what we call ‘COVID fatigue,’ ” Fauci told CNN's State of the Union. “But we’ve got to hang in there. We’ve got to hang together...because we can make it turn around.”
According to the latest update from Johns Hopkins University, the United States has surpassed 10.9 million coronavirus cases and more than 245,000 related deaths.

On the plus side all the businesses in culturally diverse areas can put up bulletproof glass now without some "community activist" group screaming about racism and filing lawlsuits.
Maybe, but perhaps an economic depression can finally shitcan all the "progressive" nonsense.

When everything goes to hell, who's gonna put up with some jackass bitching about "privilege" and "colonialism"?

I hope our leader's shortsightedness doesn't lead to that for obvious reasons, but at least those idiots would lose relevance.

NGL, I want to see a story of a mask nazi being too much of a busybody for their own good and getting knocked the fuck out. Surely since they more than likely hate cops they wouldn't go running to them like the little bitches they are. 😉
They always cry to the cops, look at the video where the Ethiopian immigrant drives through some BLM protestors like bowling pins, they go from "defund the police ACAB" to "call the police" within 60 seconds.

It's probably happened somewhere, like I remember seeing a video where two Hispanic guys are harassed by a soyboy and his fat girlfriend about not wearing a mask, and one guy shoves the bitch to the ground after she throws a drink on him and takes a few swings at the soyboy. Unfortunately, the most likely group of people to BTFO the Mask Stasi are blacks (they've shot like 2-3 employees over mask laws) and the Mask Stasi believes blacks can do no wrong so probably don't even bother them or run away with their tail between their legs after the first "SHUDDAFUCK BITCH I AIN'T WEARING NO MASK".

I was in Target yesterday and it was insane. But the odd thing was what people were buying. Christmas decorations, clothing, electronics. Not a lot of food. I guess they wanted to get their Christmas shopping in before the lockdown. All I had was batteries and I was stuck in line. Then some bitch pushed past me with her cart full of clothes even though I was next. It's not Black Friday.

According to 6abc we will be losing our indoor dining privileges and outdoor dining will only be allowed for people whose IDs prove they live in the same household. They are recommending no visits between households. But not enforcing it.

The blanket prohibition on indoor gatherings of any kind - everything from holiday parties and football gatherings to baby showers and brunches - will not be enforced, city officials acknowledged. Farley said the city is seeking voluntary compliance, saying the virus is rampant and "spreading a little bit everywhere," including at small social gatherings.

Yeah. Mmmhmm. Try to do that here. They know they can't send the police every time you go to visit a neighbor. And they know no one is gonna comply. The homies who sit on the steps of closed businesses with no masks all day are not gonna move and trying to get the police to move them is just asking for another riot. The hanging out around here is really bad because the bars are closed and there is nowhere for these people to go.

I read that some stores are already imposing limits on products like toilet paper. There's no need to panic buy. Just shop normally.

The bodegas had everything during the first lockdown.

Restrictions start Friday. But I don't know what stores besides Walmart are already putting restrictions up.

I'm really tired of it all. Why can't we just live normally? It's not The Stand. We don't have bodies in the street. You know why Philly is being so slutty with Corona-chan? It's not "muh healthcare racism". It's Tyrone and Rashawn hanging out all day without masks. It's looters and protestors and people not abiding by public transport seating rules. The ones who sit in the marked off seats and pull their masks down. All the idiots that wear them only on their mouths.

I don't know how well the masks work but at least abide by the guidelines enough to keep the lockdowns to a minimum. I put it on whenever I have to and wear it correctly even if I can't breathe. I'm sick of it. But I have a chronic cough and people get antsy around me. I coughed into my mask in a store and a guy pulled his mask tighter and hurried past me. Every time I go out I keep thinking to myself "please don't cough". I've already been through the "it's just some scar tissue nothing to worry about" thing. So they won't really do anything to quell the cough or treat the issue. So I am sucking down cough drops and praying I don't make anyone paranoid because I hate the looks I get.

Anyway, I don't like the direction any of this is heading. It will be a year before we know it and I don't want 2021 to be a repeat of 2020. It feels like a lot of social control crazy to me. In reality no less.

It's scary to think something that sounds so wild is in the realm of possibility. So I just say I am getting crazy when I think of it.

I can't wait to be told I'm a selfish prick by a nurse who snapchats themselves at work and telling me how it's "Hell on Earth." Assholes always making rules for thee but not for me. Still going to have Thanksgiving with my family by flying out of state. Keep telling me how I'm putting people at risk when I take rapid tests + antibodies to protect everyone (Took a 4th one last week.) Who wanna know who the real selfish people are and are great at playing defensive when caught? Black people and this is coming from a black himself. So many of them don't even wear a fucking mask and on the airport they don't respect distance between people. Hell, they don't even follow the new guidelines when deplaning, they cut people off and all hug each other to keep the train going. Doesn't help that prices have gone down for flights and hotels, I'm sure they're shitting up cities like Las Vegas or places in Flordia by causing more outbreaks in fight and being gross overall.

Fuck off white inner city liberal faggots, you're enabling this SHIT behavior with bullshit like BLM and riots.

I'm not a doomer but the more I look around the more I think this will be worse than 2008 with the amount of industries that have been totally fucked by this. A lot of independent businesses are not recovering and I think we are heading for massive unemployment.

Stock markets and property markets especially have shot up defying all logic so there is an air of optimism in the media but I think its all paper thin.

Clear down any debt you have, don't make any stupid purchases and have a decent size emergency fund. We're in for some tough times in the near future I think.
