People on twatter comparing USA situation with Venezuela, i have to say, no, the reason we are a fucking disaster it that our politicians that were supposed to fight for our votes cucked out because they were "afraid" of a bloodshed and refused to fight in courts their victory, fast forward it was confirmed that most of them were in the commie payrolls and because they knew they were never going to have any power via elections they decided to leech to the commies for crumbs
At least Trump has not given up yet, he should not
As a south american I have some hope that you guys will do what is best.
it seems your constitution has fail safes for wide scale fraud in the way most countries don't,
I´ve been hearing some larps and they might be completely unfounded, that the intelligence community, the military and governamental workers are aware that vote manipulation was used in this election and don't recognize Biden as a legitimate president, they are treating the whole thing as a coup basically, (protect from enemies domestic and foreign and all that jazz) of course I didn't really expect the glowies to be on the presidents side, but it seems that the notion that there was some foul play on the election is not something confined to the online sphere of the ultra supporters of the president, if military software was used to manipulate this election as the rumors suggest, I expect things won't be as easy for dems as they expect to even with broad support of the media and big tech.
William Barr was just a few months ago screaming on tv about how much mail-in voting was going to be an absolute disaster, and that it would lead to so much corruption and fraud that he wouldn't even know where to begin, it seems he has a lot of work to do now, wide scale manipulation of the election is no longer a conspiracy, the same people repating this narrative are the ones that can stand in front of a burning building to say the protests are not violent, you can't gaslight half the population on this anymore.
A lot of work will need to be done to restaure confidence in the electoral process for pretty much half of the country, and this may be a crazy prevision but I suspect the majorily originalist supreme court will have to start interfeering strongly on the matters, in true activist way, in order to protect the original intent of the constitution, I could see them judging a national voter-ID mandate for the entire country in the future.
with this election a line was crossed, it will remain to be seen if the foundation that kept america a working democracy will fight back.
