I think the point is that these 10 states aren't enough on their own, but if other states join it will be enough. As it is right now, I get the impression it's meant to be a threat- "If this fraud isn't addressed, other Republican-controlled states will join in until no one gets 270." Otherwise I don't get why else they'd do this other than pressure the SCOTUS.

It’s the red legislatures in PA, MI, GA, AZ, and WI that should feel threatened. I hope Republicans in those states are already lighting up their lawmakers’ phone lines - those guys need to know that their base isn’t going to stand for this. Dem threats in general don’t matter because Dems don’t vote for Republican lawmakers.

Personally, I think it's fine considering the illegitimacy of this election, but I understand being concerned if shit like this happens even in a secure election, which is why I hope that if Trump wins, he focuses hard on election reform so that the 2020 election will be the last shitshow for a long time.

Viva and Barnes mentioned something like democrats and republicans are content with allowing this fraud pass without scrutiny because prodding the issue would reveal that the social contract and institutions have become a flimsy house of cards. uniparty politicans are happy with the status quo and don't want to risk their careers and sinecures by doing something unpopular. barnes said congress is happy to pass the burden to someone else. something like that.

i believe this is what's happening.

My best guess is that this was in the works for a few years and that the bigwigs/uniparty were cool with it because the impression was that SCOTUS would rule against Trump.

Even more likely, they probably thought Trump would concede if he lost to whomever the Dems intended to run (presumably Kamala at the time)

But he refuses to concede and the fact that RBG died at the worst possible time for the DNC all threw a big monkey wrench into all this.

Again, this is all conjecture on my part but I think this "return to status quo" might've been the initial plan for the election but then a bunch of curveballs were thrown into it from late 2019 onward like the failure of the impeachment, the weak set of candidates leading to Biden winning the nomination by default, and then the COVID-19 and BLM coup double-whammy.

There was a period of time from December 2019 to around the start of April this year where it looked like the DNC's main plan shifted focus from "defeat the Orange Man" to "remove Bernie by any means necessary and run Biden as an inoffensive jobber to prepare for more serious efforts in 2022 and 2024" but then they got a golden ticket with Corona.

There's reasons that I think the initial uniparty plan has been more or less laid to waste for a variety of reasons aside from the flock of black swans we got this year.

The fact that Mitch didn't cuck out and within three days went from tepid "hedging your bets" support to actual serious support makes me think this might have some more merit to it than any of us know and why I've not completely counted out Trump just yet (though I'm still expecting a Biden/Kamala Woke Reich)
