How's that censorship working out for you Dorsey? You stupid bastard!

Also, it's page 1989 the year the USSR collapsed and the USA became the sole superpower. Unfortunately, it's also the year of the Tiananmen Massacre where proto democrat Zhao Ziyang was deposed and hardliners seized control in China.
Yeah but Xianping (I think the ruler at the time?) had just lived through the Red Terror, which was started by students. And guess who's in charge of THESE protests? And, wanting to shut it down immediately, sent in all the power they had. So I can understand.

Who will be the one coping, brother?

How long do you expect a new jacobin uprise in Michigan?

I remember the entire media hated him and made a joke of him, I don't remember why.
Bush was hated for a lot of legit reasons by both sides. The right saw him as a milquetoast bullshit-as-usual crony corporate Neocon (contrary to his faux-affable persona) and the left hated him for shit like the Bush tax cuts and terrible fucking foreign policy decisions that specifically benefitted the usual suspects. He was the president that got us into war in Iraq, a needless boondoggle that began our endless occupation of the Middle East. I think a lot of the criticism came from who Bush's staff was; when your vice president shoots a man in the face and the man he shot apologizes for getting in the way of his bullets, you know you have something special there.

What is less often talked about is the actual good shit Bush did. Thwarting the Dubai Port deal was somehting Bush did, as was the guy saying "fuck this" to Don't Ask, Don't Tell. One of the things that always struck me as strange, as a a Dem is that Bush himself was chased by a Democrat, who, like his father before him, fucked things up orders of magnitude worse than Bush himself ever did. If you had told me, on the night he got elected, that Obama would not only maintain most of Bush's policies, but make many of them worse, I would have laughed and asked for some of what you'd been drinking, but history makes slow-in-the-minds out of everyone, it seems.

It didn't help that Obama was an inexperienced guy who was influenced by a lot of neocons in his vicinity who wanted him to escalate what Dubya has done along with Obama being worse due to not knowing how to govern things properly except making good teleprompter speeches.

Smartmatic appeared to say that everything we have been saying is fake news and you are poopyheads

Forgot to mention that a member of their board is part of the Biden administration

After conducting our own internal investigation, we have found ourselves to have committed no wrongdoing.

Obama was elected on the promise of undoing many of Dubya's worse offenses, like the Patriot Act (which Obama not only did not roll back, but brought us the likes of PRISM).

How fucking surreal is it that Trump vetoed the Patriot Act's extension back in May?

To be fair though, Obama did sell a very optimistic dream in 2008, and sell it very well. After the shitshow that was the Dubya years, everyone needed a breath of fresh air. Obama provided it. It's how he won in a landslide that he did.

I do think history will not judge him kindly. I am of the firm opinion now that he left America in a worse state than when he took the helm, and encouraged, either implicitly or explicitly, worsening race relations, partisanship and erosion of fundamental rights.

I make the comparison between Obama and Carter (ineffectual leaders), but the whole good looking, young, and inexperienced president traits make me realize that the guy was just a black Kennedy, who didn't get rigged into office.
