You push one of the most fringe, autistic idealistic concepts I've ever seen and somehow think it's coming to fruition even though every ounce of logic states it isn't.
As I already stated, no, no I don't think its going to happen.
If it does? Enjoy your short lifespan, or your inevitable fate when some wandering looter overpowers you and puts a bullet in the half-a-fucking-brain you have - meanwhile, others will try to think of solutions that don't completely eradicate Human progress and reset us back to the fucking cave era simply because some selfish, pussy autist (i.e. you) refuses to accept reality.
I'm not following your logic, at fucking all. Despite local, country and state-level governments and police forces remaining intact, a split would somehow result in a complete breakdown of social order because the federal government stopped listening to California?
I wholeheartedly respect your aversion to conflict, it's equally as natural as the drive towards conflict is but relying on dystopian solutions to create effective environments? That's a bit fucking dumb - it's poisoning the well, intentionally, in an attempt to purify it, and it doesn't work. I respect it, but I do not support or agree with it.
I'm not seeing the dystopia here. Fine, I'll read the fucking book, maybe he's seen something I didn't.
The civil war was neat and orderly? Motherfucker there were bushwhackers, convicts, etc. in whole fucking legions going around raping and rampaging across various townships in the Southern and Central U.S. - do you even know the list of tragedies and crimes that occurred OFF the battlefield, committed by extrajudicial paramilitary forces setup by both sides?
And by the standards of civil wars, particularly in the post-industrial world, it was
still one of the least fucked-up ones out there.
In regards to deception, do we not condemn those who have CHOSEN deception even when everything ELSE around them tells them they're being deceived? At that point, is it really deception or has it become their individual truth? You can't override this by throwing pillows inbetween us both and hoping the pillows keep us separated, it doesn't work that way - inevitably someone will fuck those pillows right the fuck up to get to the other side and the reality of what happens when they get there? 10x worse than it would've been in regulated civil strife - what you propose is letting the mess sit and fester until it finally explodes to a point of no return and the resulting conflict is even worse and even larger than any conflict we could have now.
Is that seriously what you expect, "regulated civil strife"? The government will just sit back and have our little gang wars until we sort shit out? Maybe they'll even throw up block-size boxing rings for us to duke it out in? Somehow I'm fucking skeptical.
A war between two rogue states that claim legitimacy over one another and claim the same national identity isn't a 'proper international war', my fucking guy - do you call the war between Sudan and South Sudan a proper war? No, it was called a fucking civil war despite the fact they're two separate state entities and are wholly autonomously independent from one another - you're not AVOIDING civil war here, all you're doing is delaying it and placing it on a MUCH larger stage.
And this is why is is very damned important that any split, regardless of specifics, be mutually agreed between the Right, the Left,
and the Federal Government, something at
minimum on the level of a Constitutional Amendment. Is is going to happen? Fuck, no: the feds are going to cling to every ounce of power like the dying old man it is, and the Left is too set on its plans of global domination, but offering them the easy way out is still the
right thing to do, and when they refuse, then so be it, they brought what's coming on themselves.
Given every chance to not go to war, but still they do - what does that say about you?
That I gave it my damndest, and now its time to go to work.
