In my opinion, being a troon isn't even a state, it's just someone stating an opinion contrary to reality, i.e. "I am a woman." No you aren't, whatever. I don't think people should be punished for having idiotic opinions contrary to reality, but I do think their delusional thinking should be taken into consideration when you're considering who should be given the nuclear codes, shit like that. Look at Bradley Manning. People who are crazy in one way are likely to be crazy in others as well.

Well, he did say that discrimination against trans people was the civil rights issue of our time.

What's gonna pop off is the idea that trans women are women who were accidentally assigned male at birth. Versus the idea that if some dude wants to pretend to be a woman then let him do whatever as long as he's not hurting anyone. I have no idea how the Democratic party is going to deal with this.

There’s actually been some real issues with this with intersex kids, it’s only really been addressed recently (last 20 years) within the medical profession. This is where the whole term “Assigned Male/Female” comes from as doctors would just say “fuck it” and chop off bits or sew up holes of babies to fit one or the other sex.

The other thing is that gender is kind of a social construct while sex isn’t. Gender Dysphoria is better off being termed as sexual dysphoria. There’s a lot of debates about stuff like this, because we haven’t as a society really talked a lot about it outside of smaller academic circles ever. Now the internet exists suddenly small debates become global things.

Of course! One could argue that Democrats- by creating the Russiagate hoax and refusing to impeach Trump on actually legitimate grounds like the emoluments clause violations or the unauthorized wars rather than over his refusing to send more weapons to militias in Ukraine- are partially to blame, but MAGA pissboys would have pushed this nonsense anyway.
