Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Im sorry but I feel like I gotta vent here.

Its not a matter that if they may or may not be trying to kill small-medium businesses. They ARE.

And what happened to my already heavily struggling restaurant is evidence.

First off, I will share the very unpopular opinion (tho thats why Im here, isnt it?) that most labor laws are bullshit. Now, yes, I want workers to have rights because I hate when anyone is abused...however, I will not also act like workers cant look at labor laws and abuse them and know they can and will get away scott free with it. LIke with any law, it has basically become a business for lawyers and judges to make cash off workers that felt like they "have been wronged" (when in reality they were fired because they were legit incompetent) and businesses that did everything according to the laws but are still getting punished either way.

I feel like people have this image of the world that most business owners are cartoon bosses like Mr Crabs where we are money grubbing monsters, when in reality we are just everyday people just working hard to create and build something of our own and that not always the people we hire are doing their best work. The worker is always the "little guy" thats standing against the "goliath". We are always the "previleged" ones.

Flash news, assholes, we run this country, not the unemployment check leeches. We keep getting sued by fired workers over made up accusations of abuse, when in reality they are assholes trying to get back at us for daring to imply they werent working what they are being paid for.

Consider this, we cant fire pregnant ladies. Thats fine by itself but no one considers that the lady may think "if I keep getting pregnant, they cant fire me!"...and thats what happens. Our business must be a place of fertility because they keep getting pregnant, even after only months after the previous birth. And they can take months off while getting entire paychecks from us without any sort of consequence. Thats fucking bullshit and the government will never address it because people would rather believe that "workers could never abuse their bosses " and that "labor laws need actual punishing for abusing them". We finally fire the lady after her, I shit you not, THIRD birth before she can get pregnant again and there we go, she sued us along with other workers we had to let go because of this corona crisis.

And also consider this, experts came over to see if there were any basis of truth to those accusations like "dangerous work enviroment" and you know what they found? Nothing...absolutely nothing.

And it doesnt matter because we dont live in a world where a judge would laugh off this baseless accusations and tell the workers to not waste their time. We live in a world where the judge WILL make a case out of nothing and demand the company shell out more-than-ever essential money to the bitches that know they can abuse the system scott free.

We even got an audio from their lawyer and since he knows that they will lose (but still win either way) he wants to make a deal and, I shit you not again, he freudian slipped that "its about just the money" oh...okay...SO IT IS ABOUT THE MONEY, motherfucker ! Thats why no one likes lawyers and see them as leeches...because thats what they are. They are god damn leeches standing by other leeches!

But even with all of that, I still didnt get to the major point of where I was getting at. The government is actively doing Mafia tactics now. Allow me to tell you the story...

We were "randomly selected" to be inspected by a government fiscal inspector, a woman by the by, and she found...nothing wrong actually! We are clean!...Oh but whats this? You have this retired worker thats away because of the corona crisis ? Well, we cant have that, you own him 500 bucks now. And yes, my friends, she pulled this out of her stinking ass and just says we now own money to this worker who isnt even in this state anymore! We tried to appeal but, of course, we got variations of "Yeah, she cant do this, except she can.". She cant "legally" do it but she can still practically do it. We do have the "Option" to appeal in the courts...

But lets be real here, we know its a fucking waste of money and time, we are going to lose and then have to pay even more and then our useless lawyer too. We are basically being extorted money from the government, the ministery of economy to be more specific...their fucking thugs can come in, fucking give us a proposition we cant refuse and then refuse to accept any of our direct communications with her to argue our way out of it ("aparently" she only responds to emails once a month...what?!) and we know that her higher ups will basically tell us to hope the system thats extorting us to get us out of this pickle.

All this mid fucking economy crisis caused by these snakes. We are getting evidence that they are literally trying to murder us one by one. Whats the point of following ALL the regulations if they can still come at us and say "Yeah, but we can still make up a situation". We refuse to pay? Why we fine you! We refuse to pay that? Why, now what you have is ours !

How is that not mafia/commie tactics?! HOW?! Its legalized extortion! All more power to the state and their mega corporation allies, huh?!

Cuck Hogan: BuT mAsKs WoRk, GuYs!!!!!! tHe CdC sAiD sO!!!

Don't you/your family run a pizza place? I don't disagree with some of your points but it's somewhat unrealistic to expect motivated and enthusiastic employees on minimum wage. Who do you expect to hire for 7.25 an hour? Nuclear physicists? No, you're going to get college students and niggers.

I'm utterly convinced that they've made things worse, at this point.

The CDC are a bunch of government sold outs. They are a led by a commie who is buddies with China.

They withheld precious information at the time where they would be essential to stall if not alright stop Covid at its Chinese crib. And then began to blast doomsday garbage when it spread just enough there was nothing we could do anymore.
They are all corrupt monsters that deserve the rope for their lies.

Me too. I hadn't been sick enough to go to the doctor in 15 years, coming home from wearing it for a couple hours to check on the bun in the oven I got the most searing sore throat out of nowhere. No fever, no congestion, no cough, just a bit of pain in one ear and a horrifically painful sore throat.

I refused the covid test (I told the nurse I wasn't about to add to the misery around me, my state is locked down again.) and the rapid strep came back negative though I'm still sure that was what it was. Regardless it was obviously bacterial, since 3 doses of the antibiotic tore my stomach up so I got rid of both the painful ear and throat in a day and a half with unpasteurized orange juice and hydrogen peroxide.

I've had drones tell me "OMG, iT hAd tO bE cOvId tHen!" Oh bullshit. If my pregnant, fat ass got rid of it in less than a weekend without real intervention, what does that say? I'm still of the opinion that having to wear the mask and providing a moist bug pocket around my fucking mucus membranes got me sick in the first place. People are idiots.

Okay so to give context, we started with a restaurant we had for years and a few years ago bought an old pizzaria that we have renovated and brought back to its prime to build a chain out of. The restaurant has seen better days with illegals stealing our cliental and a mixture of Covid/the government seem to be close of striking the killing blow. The pizzaria is fine for now, tho we had to hault any plans of expansion we had this year for obvious reasons.

The pizzaria is smaller and thus we have a better control of who we hire, the restaurant is bigger and thus we have a weaker "quality control" of who we hire.

The problem is with the restaurant. Its a "lower income" restaurant (the pizzaria is a more gourmet type location but thats besides the point) so we sadly may hire some "lower tier" workers for the lack of a less "offensive" term. The problem is that while they are cheap, sueing us over made up bullshit is also cheap for them. They have nothing to really lose and their lawyers are doing the jewish hand rubbing at the opportunity. We lose either way. There is no "punishment" over baseless accusations. Its a bullshit system that runs on the honor system, you are suppose to assume that its true.

Edit: And like I said, even if its proven false...cooome on, you are the previleged fucks and they are the poor poor little guy, shell out your obviously unearned cash to them, just for "charity" ya know?

I just think it's mad how mandatory vaccination to travel, go to work or attend events was was brushed off as a conspiracy theory on par with lizard people 6 months ago, now it's assumed and people are gleefully throwing it in "antivaxxers" faces. And anyone who has any questions or doubts at all is antivax now, you don't have to believe Bill Gates wants to microchip you to be called an idiot and a lunatic.

Fuck it, take it. Take my place in line. Enjoy your narcolepsy or Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Does anyone else think it's funny how so many self proclaimed "Queer anarchists" and "Communist punks" that have been larping as badass anti government revolutionaries over the past four years are now sucking the government's dick so hard the color is coming off over Covid?

If I sat here lining up all the inconsistencies and hypocrisies of the left, I'd be here all day.

This is the same side that also screamed "DEFUND THE POLICE" while at the same time wanting the police to arrest people that don't wear masks. Its unbelievable.

It's because their people are in charge. Just on this page we have several examples of how the organs of government are being selectively used in certain ways against their political enemies.

Police will now accompany health inspectors as they go tut-tut-ing and fining businesses. Why? Because there was a small Trump rally at Serb Hall in Milwaukee, and some inspectors got jostled around a bit (and apparently they also received death threats lol). The fuckers didn't dare go out to the violent riots and try that shit, now did they? Nope, just smear a gathering of Trump supporters.

I repeat, the POLICE will now accompany the health inspectors to be sure everyone is wearing their muzzles properly and are a proper distance apart!

Also just in - singing Christmas carols and drinking alcohol are high-risk activities. NO FUN, SIT DOWN, SHUT UP, and just let us destroy your business and livelihood. Comply, citizen!!

Fuck yeah on them getting death threats. I really want to see mask stasi and their families meet unfortunate and untimely ends in GTA5.

As awful as this sounds I'm itching to get into a fist fight with a mask nazi in my city while running. Watching some unathletic soy or fat ass white liberal spazzing out and trying to attack a dude who runs 35-45 miles a week, can do 20 pullups a set, used to taking blows/being agile from snowboarding, and has spent all of their free time in quarantine getting lean and mean sounds like it wouldn't end very well.

This is why I have zero sympathy for the police and laugh at the Blue Lives Matter people since here the police are enforcing government oppression (actual oppression, not shooting rapists running to get their guns/knives). Anyone with anyone integrity in the police force should just quit, since the government only expects them to bully businesses and people when its businesses and people they disagree with.

The only cop I can recall speaking out about any of this bullshit is Greg Anderson. Unfortunately, he was fired for this video he made back in May:

In-depth interviews with him:

Shit, I should send this to my local precinct lol

Welp, we've got Evers on now wearing his stupid mask, fearmongering about the possibility of 5K deaths by the end of the year. This is happening HERE to friends, loved ones (yadda yadda heartstrings)... We've tripled our 7 day average of POSITIVE CASES (yeah, open a parking lot at a major league ball park for drive through testing, that will happen). 2,741 people have died!! November 21 is the end of the mandates but we can't let this go - NEW STATE OF EMERGENCY EXTENDED TO JANUARY (the Courts are going to hear whether this fool can do this without legislative approval). REPUBS BAD - Withdraw the suit and SUPPORT THE MASK - We get no do-overs and we need you to join the cause. Long road ahead. Vaccines on horizon but need to buckle down. Typed this pretty much verbatim btw.

Fuck this illegitimate governor. Turning this drivel off, now he's talking more about CARES dollars. Let's take this break to see how many people are in the overflow facility: Oh well, it went up! 23 people now. Guess they kind of have to put people there since they spent so much damn money on it. I took the liberty of checking hospital ICU occupancy via that handy site posted earlier, and there's simply no justification from what I can see. No data on who these people are, no information at all about the demographics of the dead, it's just bananas how people accept this and don't ask fucking questions.

OK, turning it back on because there are reporters who ask questions after the proselytizing. Let's watch.

We have the health director on saying STAY THE FUCK AT HOME DO NOT GO OUT AT ALL. PERIOD.
Now for the reporters:

- Q: Asking about schools. WEAC sent a letter for guidance. Evers says systems are doing their best. Difficult. One answer does not fit all (yeah, dumbass, you figured that out?)

- Q: We continue to see cases even with mask mandates. Anything else we can do? Evers: My ability to order things is difficult. We know people should STAY AT HOME (SAFER at home lol) That's what we need to do. Health Director (HD): The science is clear about masks! More recent information from CDC it protects the wearer too! Compliance with mask wearing is effective! Messaging. Clear and consistent directives from all leaders is key. Data from doctor: 80 to 90 percent compliance is necessary. We must stay home, everyone, statewide. We are at a difficult spot. That's what we need to do.

- Q: Re: Using state money to support some new gibs bill to business. Why? Evers: Fed money ends and we spent all the Fed money!! We need the state money! Because those bad Repubs haven't given gibs. Reach out to your reps! Tell them we need monies!

- Q: When do you plan to issue new mask mandate? Today? Also, any other orders coming such as moratoriums on evictions? Evers: Order to come today or next. The other order will be mask mandate until January. (Not sure which the first order is, I think it's Safer at Home again). Eviction protections that were in place will hopefully extend but needs to pass the Legislature.

- Q: Concern about timeline? Evers: Bad timeline. Repubs not responsive. Vos (speaker) may allow some legislation to be heard. Two years ago they said they'd push to make my governorship a lame duck. But we need to save lives!

- Q: Repubs won't agree, are there discussions for middle ground? Evers: I'd LOVE to meet, we have met, our staff has met, and hopeful for future meetings, for any willingness for proposals to be passed that have expired. If they do it once I hope they do it again. (That's really reaching across the aisle there - AGREE AGREE dammit!)

- Q: More emergency medical people on the volunteer registry? HD: Yes we have been using it, but those folks are usually only available for days at a time. We have CHRONIC STAFFING SHORTAGES. Eye-glazing We HAVE to do the work to stop the spread. This is so tiring. Again no data on the demographics or concrete numbers, AT ALL.

- Q: After getting Covid we've seen a study that says some people get secondary mental illness (? never heard that one) Also depression. What about that? HD: Community based mental health. Increase in telehealth services. Addiction services. We recognize the need. We are limited by the restrictions (duh!). Increasing isolation has caused increase in need for services. More hotlines! Continue to look for ways to make mental health services accessible. Resilient Wisconsin Online can help! We need to be creative.

- Q: To Counsel re: legal challenges? Counsel: Bad folks try to litigate against them. We need to wait for current suit to go through.

- Q: Field hospital question! The numbers are small, is it because they don't want to go? HD: 22 people are there. People are being admitted and discharged, 70 people served since it opened. Lots of coordination with hospitals! (they say this all the time, it's absolutely nothing new). It obviously is a patient decision (who wants to transfer from a nice facility close to their family to go to MILWAUKEE?) We need to get back to a place where we aren't concerned about that so STAY THE FUCK HOME WEAR YOUR MASK WE'VE GOTTA DO WHAT WE NEED TO TO MAKE THE FACILITY OBSOLETE! Ugh this bitch.

- Q: Concern about spread during RECOUNTS! Ugh. Evers: Well that's why it costs so much money! I am concerned. At the end of the day democracy needs to move forward and we have an obligation to do a recount (WOW YEAH!) but I don't think it will change anything. Governor Walker even agrees it's a huge hill to climb (stfu asshole). We should not shirk the responsibility though and it will cost more.

- Q: Mask mandates are unenforceable. Wat do? Evers: Story time! I don't believe in enforcement either. Friend in GA caretaking for kids. Lived in MKE. Friend says, "EVERYONE in Atlanta has a mask on!" Why are we not doing this too? Would I love to have the ability to compel people? Yes! But we are ASKING. For your friends, for yourselves, it makes a difference (the orders). More masks in workplaces, retail spaces. I would LOVE to compel. (yes, we know you tyrant). Wisconsinites are better and we will do better!

- Q: Why not put bills through legislative process to get mandates? Evers: Too lengthy. Repubs on joint committee says no, anyway. We have put bills in the process that were passed in the past, and we need assurance that there are resources to continue contact tracing and testing after the first of the year.

- Q: Repub Speaker Vos had ideas on relief. Any agreement? Evers: I only know about testing, and we agree 100 percent on that. Anything else, he should bring it to our attention. Testing is not prevention. Staying at home is. The only common ground is on testing.

Press conference concludes.

I expect Wisconsin's mask mandate to be extended through 2021. Evers is a straight up mask cultist.

He won't stop until the courts make him stop.

The latest from the county I live in. God damn Nazi Newsom to hell, the lowest circle.

ANYTHING GOES AS GOVERNOR UPENDS 'TIERS' RATING SYSTEM

• Statewide surge in cases leaves economic future in doubt

A little more than two months after introducing what he said would be a "slow and stringent" method for assessing county-by-county coronavirus infections rates throughout the State of California, Gov. Gavin Newsom upended the entire scheme yesterday and immediately put 39 of the state's 58 counties into the highest level of economic shutdown. Newsom made the move in response to what he said was an "unprecedented" surge in cases in many parts of the state over the last 10 days.

The change had no immediate impact on Monterey County, which has already been in the state's Purple Tier — the strictest — ever since Newsom announced what he called the "Blueprint for a Safer Economy" Aug. 28.

But even for Monterey County, the changes announced by Newsom yesterday will make it more difficult to track our progress under statewide guidelines for measuring the severity of the local coronavirus epidemic. Not only did Newsom undo the relationship of each county's case and positivity rates to their reopening status, he canceled what had been an orderly, every-Tuesday schedule for updating them. From now on, the California Department of Health said on its website this morning, "Tier assignments may occur any day of the week and may occur more than once a week."

We will continue monitoring those announcements and report them to you as warranted, as well as tracking the Monterey County health department's daily updates of local coronavirus data, as we have been doing since the epidemic began.

Speaking of which, the rate of new infections in Monterey County has returned to the recent "normal" after Sunday's shocking 265 total; yesterday, there were 76 new cases, the health department said, and today there were 79. The current 7-day average of new cases per 100,000 residents per day in the county is 22.3, and the testing positivity rate stands at 14.15 percent. (Please check the tables and charts below for the latest data for your community.)

The bottom line is, while cases are still few and far between in many parts of the Monterey Peninsula, they remain high elsewhere in Monterey County, and we have a long way to go before our epidemic will be considered controlled enough for us to take additional steps toward economic reopening.

For details about Monterey County's shutdown status, as reported by the California Department of Public Health, click here. To see the most up-to-date charts and tables from the county health department, click here. Below, you can also find the updated versions of our charts showing coronavirus infections countywide and in the Monterey Peninsula, along with the data for hospitalizations and our chart breaking down Monterey County's coronavirus cases and infection rates by zip code. Please check these charts and tables for the latest data on coronavirus cases in your community.
Fuck me, and right after Washington. This is coordinated right? I'm not paranoid?
Where are the "orders" coming from? Moloch?
I'm utterly convinced that they've made things worse, at this point.
Same. Even I feel like shit after wearing the stupid things for a few minutes.
