Moona got into a "problem" in the Indonesian weebs fandom because of a tweet referencing religion, which a lot of people thought as degrading religion, in a country where the notion of religion is sacred or important (kinda like evangelical us)
The tweet is already deleted, but a "friend" got a screenshot of it

Mind you this is not the first time she played fire in the conservative country. Previously she deliberately provoked hostile reaction by posting drinking vodka

For some context his fans already knew this was going to happen, he barely could stream for Health issues and it was a matter of fact that he would retire of his own

Also im amused at some discord conversation pointed that HoloMYTH was supposed to be a extra branch with barely any support like Indonesia but suddenly all of them are beating the crap of 5th gen, there was a demand, YAGOO gambled and it paid

I just hope HoloMX never happen

Jokes aside, HoloID is pretty much in a very tricky spot. NijiID practically cornered the Indonesian market. And now there are lots of Indonesian weebs trying to be indie vtubers as well.

The only solution for Cover I think is moving HoloID to focus more on SEA and not just Indonesia. The HoloID girls pretty much streamed in english anyway

Which is weird because HoloID are Indonesian Vtubers with the most subscribers, way more than most of the NijiID members. But then again most of their subs could be foreign subs too.

Lots of Indonesian weebs trying to be indie Vtubers don't really mean much, because lots of English-speaking weebs are trying to be Vtubers too.

HoloSEA genuinely sounds like a cool idea though, and perhaps the next step towards the expansion of Hololive in the Southeast Asian region.

It's kind of odd to think that Indonesian weebs would also be devout Muslims, but I guess it's the SEA equivalent of American tradcaths with anime girl profiles
