Does “a cold civil war against the establishment and the people who control the country from the shadows” count?
You think this only goes as far back as the start of Trump's presidential campaign?

There is a surprising amount of wignats who are genuinely furious Trump didn't cut all ties with Israel and would rather vote left because they think they'll destroy Israel, not realizing "Die for Israel" will turn into "Die for Palestine and the religion of peace".
When you follow a meme ideology that only attracts autistic outcasts, purity spiraling is inevitable.

Criticizing Israel and thinking we shouldn't be involved with them to the extent we are is fine and I mostly agree with it, but Christ it's so dumb and ignorant to act like we should tell our only major ally in a region that hates us to shove it because you don't like the long noses.

Plaintiff argues that they filed late because up until election day, they could expect the county to correctly handle their elections. Judge challenges him to defend that statement.

Judge boomers up and doesn't make sure to postpone updates, and now his computer is shutting down and he needs to restart it.

The AZ defense is much better than that for PA, though that may be the nature of this case versus that one. If I recall correctly, Trump's campaign partly withdrew their lawsuit in regards to the presidential election, in which case this is the only Republican lawsuit running in that state. I wonder what's going to happen...

Back when I was on the Clinton/Blair Third Way left I used to get criticized by Commies who clearly believed their ideology was a more pure version of mine. Now I'm on the right I get criticized by Nazis saying essentially the same thing.

The idea that maybe our ideologies are based on fundamentally different premises never seems to occur to them.

In court news the Judge has granted the Trump campaign permission to file and amended complaint with more stuff it in it

IIRC this is significant because if you appeal to the SCOTUS you can't use things you didn't mention in the original complaint. Also the amended complaint has a list of constitutional violations, which is helpful to get this to SCOTUS on appeal if necessary.

Judge says he couldn't stop the scheduled restart of the computer.

I think he's just still green to computers.

Plaintiff sums up his "reasonable delay" argument: how would they know how or when to sue without the audit actually being finished?

On "prejudice": what prejudice? The state wants to certify early. He insists that the relevant statutes insist on audit by precinct. Judge refers to the SoS' audit guidelines specifying "polling places/precincts"-- plaintiff argues that "voting centers"isn't mentioned.

Andrew Cuomo seems to have become unhinged.
Shit just keeps getting weirder and weirder.
Trump just had to concede, man. Biden was going to transition super early and COVID was going to disappear in a blink of an eye, and we could sleep peacefully again. Now, for every day Drumpf decides to fight the results, COVID will exponentially worsen until he's actually finished.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Defense cites "doctrine of latches" in the context of election law as further reason for why plaintiff's case must not prevail.

Judge has stopped defendant to ask a question. Judge cites one of the statutes defense cited, saying it describes a "very elaborate procedure". He speaks of parties having to be designated 15 days prior to the election, and asks if plaintiffs should have been prepping for a lawsuit back then. Defendant agrees, and argues that while a few days may not be anything in other areas of law, it is an eternity in election law as that time can prejudice both plaintiff and judge.
wat

How can you sue regarding election fraud before it occurs?

If the damages didn't occur until Nov 3/4, then how in the world they be able to sue regarding those damages 15 days beforehand?

I don't know if I'm misunderstanding something, or the defense isn't making any sense. Normally I'd go with the former, but after yesterday the latter has a possibilty of being true.

If the AZ lawsuit isn't being done by Trump's people I don't have much hope for it specifically.
