I think he does it for attention. Allow me to play arm chair psychologist for a moment.
I know doing as Kevin does purely for attention is a fairly reductionist point of view, but I think he's attention starved. Starved of real, authentic and nourishing interactions that all humans need. Face to face interactions, in real life. We all know he is surrounded by troons at the Tranch, but these people are not his friends, even Penny. The same is true to a lesser degree for the other Tranch members. The life they're living there isn't real, they're all playing pretend and feeding into each others delusions. Obviously living a lie isn't sustainable or enriching. Not saying that trans people all live lies, either, but all the people on the tranny ranch commune clearly are to some degree living a fiction and engaged with magical thinking to sustain each others fictions.
I posit that if Kevin were receiving genuine positive regard from another human person in real life, I don't think he would have to desperately post 100+ tweets a day and give 200+ likes a day for morsels of other people's attention spans. Kevin probably knows this, but he chooses to believe in the juvenile fiction he has (or rather, the one Penny and other troons implanted in his mind years ago to "crack his egg") concocted.
As far as places for positive human growth, the ranch is a toxic cesspool that not only allows for personal stagnation, but promotes it. Promotes stagnation as our ranch trannies seclude themselves from the outside world as they craft their own personal hero narratives that the world is against them as they point guns at their neighbors.
