Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

My county is again instituting curfews because Lord Newsom can't get off his power trip. On the bright side the county sheriff has consistently refused to actually enforce social distancing and mask wearing since the beginning of lockdowns and again made a statement saying that his deputies won't be doing shit about the curfew and holiday gatherings and to take any complaints to the county health department so small victories.

The curfews in CA is pretty exceptional. They won't work and the governors will continue to chimpout while the mask cultists blame ordinary people trying to live for the numbers going up. Tale as old as time.

Speaking of exceptional:

With the way people talk on Twitter you really would think the doctor's office was truly off limits for everything not WuFlu related, but here, my doctor's office sent me an email encouraging me to not put off scheduling my yearly physical exam. 🤷‍♀️ It was also the quickest visit I've had in years.

I've had similar experiences. The doctor's office is probably one of the safest places you could be since they're so strict on sanitizing and health protocol in general. Putting off seeing a doctor is just self-sabotage.

Earlier this year, back in the Summer, I read various articles that expressed concerns over parents refusing to take their kids to get vaccinated because the coof was "so scary." Karens would rather risk their children ending up in iron lungs just to protect their own fat, lazy asses from the coof.

Also, how many instances of heart disease and cancer are going undetected/undiagnosed at this very moment? Over the past nine months?

People skipping their doctors appointments, vaccinations, blood work, physicals, dental appointments, etc ... More people are definitely going to die because of this instead of the coof.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that the death toll over the next couple of years is going to increase because of neglected health concerns, and the fucking news media and statist politicians are going to pretend they don't know why that's happening. Just watch: you just know it's going to happen.

I hate the current state of everything. And the people I hate most are the useful idiots; their ignorance and cowardice are affecting everyone's livelihoods just as much as the fear mongers and the authoritarians are.

Which is funny, since annual physical exams are not recommended for healthy adults. But they're a great source of revenue if you have nothing else going on. (I don't know if you fall into the "healthy adult" category, it's just an observation.)

Right now, about 1/3 of excess deaths are not attributable to COVID-19. That could means tens of thousands of deaths, or more, have been caused by COVID panic itself.

That's not even including the CDC study of over 100k deaths in 2020 so far that are caused by suicide and drug overdose. Around September, the CDC confirmed that "deaths caused by despair" are already up 25% this year before even entering Fall.

This ... This just makes me so mad and depressed at the same time.

No shit? Is this your GP or what? I ask because I wanted to see a specialist for a checkup of a thing and she said "No non-essential procedures or calls".

So in a new twist...

A buddy's work is declaring their own lockdown. Immediate termination if they find out you've left the house for any reason except to get food. They've stated they will be following social media and will also issue suspensions/terminations for not social distancing or wearing a mask. They're literally debating forcing employees to hand over account passwords right now to check against privacy settings.

That's a pretty horrifying escalation. Needless to say my buddy is searching for a new job asap so he can put in his 2 weeks.

If employees start leaving en masse because of that, they deserve it. If there are any types of businesses that should fail during the pandemic, it’s businesses such as these.

Are those faggots unaware that it's possible to do things without posting it to social media? What the fuck. :story:

Sounds like a bunch of munchies to me. "Thyroid issues" are usually what rather portly women blame for their size, rather than considering the fact that perhaps the real problem is that they shove too much food in their face. Of course thyroid issues do exist, but if I had a nickel for every fat girl talking about "thyroid issues" while she was getting up to fetch a third helping of cheesecake, I'd probably be able to buy a pack of smokes. I think "thyroid issues" might be becoming the new "anxiety" for these folks. People who attention whore with their various [real or imagined] ailments are the worst. Most usually "curvy, full-figured" women who don't understand cause and effect. My medical advice to them is to stop ordering pizza all the time and take a walk once in awhile.

That much said, I do know plenty of people who are putting off seeing the doc because they figure a hospital waiting room is going to be ground zero for the virus, and I can imagine there's been more than a few deaths caused by people not seeking treatment or waiting too long to seek treatment due to COVID hysteria. Nobody wants to discuss the suicides, either. The reaction/cure is almost certainly worse than the illness at this point when you factor in all of that plus the sheer amount of general human misery being generated, the economic damage is the elephant in the room and it seems likely to me we haven't even begun to see the worst of that yet.

TL;DR - shit's fucked and Munchausen's syndrome is annoying.

I'm canceling my membership to my local park district, our fat ass piece of shit governor that has obviously never worked out in his life is clamping down even harder on everyone in IL, since so many restaurants and businesses are refusing to comply with his bullshit edicts. I will not wear a mask when exercising, and I will not be tracked for contact tracing. Thankfully there are other gyms that aren't bothering with this garbage, so I'm going to support them.

The "long covid" narrative being pushed is gonna embolden a whole new generation of munchies and hypochondriacs and they're going to be the loudest, most obnoxious ones yet.

I'm left to wonder....when the pandemic eventually does go away, because inevitably it will, when things start to go back to "normal," or whatever that looks like. When it's declared safe to go outside, see friends and family, enjoy the world again...

What will these screeching paranoid wokescolds do with themselves? Will they find themselves utterly purposeless? Traumatized? Will they continue to hide out in their homes for fear of anything and everything? Who will they target their rage at? Who will they scapegoat?

I mean, probably white people.

Was it ever going to be anyone else? It's going to be the (white) people that refused to wear masks and stay in their pods and as a result slaughtered a million POC grandmas, and the Orange Man that personally commanded them to commit genocide.
