What kind of fucking lo- right, Lily Orchard, there is no logic.
Also, that's fucking rich. It's really damn obvious that Lily hasn't read a goddamn thing outside of mandatory reading in Jr./High School (though even that I'm skeptical of, wouldn't put it past her to have just read the sparknotes so she could pass off like she actually read them). Her writing is incredibly stilted, her vocabulary is miniscule, and she's incapable of doing anything but bad dialogue and incredibly dull "exposition".
Like, World of Warcraft recently released a short story to tie into the next expansion launching, and holy shit, it's not great, but in comparison to Lily's writing it's a masterpiece. There's just so much more character and flavor in that story, you get a sense for how the characters think and feel without having to be explicitly told as such.
This response is incredibly telling. Subtext and subtlety is for bad writers/writing, the good shit is where you explicitly tell your viewer everything. Tell, don't show. Never, ever have anything up to interpretation, always explain things in as plain a way as possible.
Her life must be incredibly dull. Her writing is dull, her interests are dull, and she's just completely dull.
Go write your shitty lesbian "romance" that only you enjoy and stop bragging as if it's the best thing ever written.

I love how she assumes that if you like the game enough to replay it it somehow invalidates the twist? Because it doesn't, when you replay the game already knowing the twist you can look for things you missed out the first time because usually there's a lot of content that will fly over your head the first time you go through it. Then again Lilys work is never that littered with shit you might miss the first go because apparently people are stupid and need to be spoon fed petty girl drama thats worse than the cat fights between 2 15 year old girls who like the same boy.
I'm just gonna jump around a lot and make loosely connecting points because its been a while since I've done a rant and I just smoked a fat blunt so I feel like now is a good time to ramble:
Lily doesn't need to worry about spoilers because she's so braindead and bad at writing that whatever she writes is extremely obvious to a point where you have to stop and go "wait did she actually just do that??". She's a 30 year old woman who writes like a 13 year old boy who just discovered softcore lesbian porn. There's no nuance, nothing good, nothing entertaining. It's always the same "two indestructible lesbians, haha take that straighties!!".
She thinks she makes people so mad with her writing too (or worse she thinks it makes people cry because its supposed to be that emotional) but in reality its just a boring slog that half the people on this thread only look at when there's literally nothing else . Her ego is infuriatingly huge for such an awful writer. Don't get me wrong I don't know shit about writing but when I have to take 5 breaks in-between reading 1 chapter of a story, you're a bad writer.
Artists do this thing where they get a bit of tunnel vision. I don't know if it actually has a name or anything but I call it '"pride vision/pride block". It's essentially when an artist is of a low skill level and they finish something they're extremely proud of. After they finish to them it looks like the most perfect thing ever and that no one could do better. As a personal example, I once finished a walk cycle animation and I was so proud of it that I held it on a pedestal of being one of my best works up until 5ish years ago, after I stopped drawing in that style. Slowly all the flaws started to become apparent, the framerate was too slow, the walking was janky, the coloring was bad, and just generally it wasn't good. Until the artist grows out of that style and learns to advance they will never see that work as bad because they are still in the same spot as when they first created it skill wise. I believe this is how it is for Lily and her writing.
All of Lilys writing is the same which is what makes it apparent to me. She essentially has a writers version of same face syndrome. Where everything is the same just colored differently and never breaking out of a comfort zone. All of her biggest works right now can be summed up in the line "what if there were power-lesbians in WoW/Pokemon/star wars" All of the pairings are the same, all the base characteristics are the same, everything's the same. The worst part is that almost everything she writes is out of spite, not out of a pure passion for what she's writing or the characters shes making. She watched something she liked and then said "its mine now but because its mine its better" and completely ignores what made the originals so good.
The post she made the other day about "well outside the movies the sith arent bad!!!" especially got me going and I didn't say it at the time because I was busy but I think Lily contradicted herself again by saying that. She was ragging on SU/LoK for needing to go out of your way to see the extra material because it wasn't in the source material. She also said that if a writer does that then theyre a shitty writer/a coward or whatever. But then she turns around and does the same thing like the little hypocrite she is. If it isnt in the main 9 movies in the star wars franchise then it shouldn't matter, but it does because the movies (the source material) paint the sith like literal Nazis and Lily cant be just OK with that because one of her biggest stinks about SU was the exact same thing.

Yeah, despite Lilly wanting to show that the Sith aren't bad, just the First Order, the story never actually does anything to show this. Why shouldn't the audience think the Sith are bad? Because one family out of millions was a bit better? We never have Lilly's self-insert explaining sith teachings and how they could maybe be interpreted differently, we just have her saying that the bad guys aren't true sith because... Reasons? They follow the sith code, they bare sith aesthetics, they use sith teachings and techniques. But Lilly just writes them off as dark jedi despite not using anything that resembles jedi teachings. They're just weak. Why should this one person get to decide what the Sith are? Because she's strong? Because she named her fleet of non-force sensitive criminals the sith fleet? Does that mean the jedi shouldn't be judged by their past since Luke can just say 'I'm the only one left' and denounce all the bad moments? Why purposly take the sith mantle and none of the baggage when you could just make your own fucking religion?
I get you. The doxxing may not really mean anything other than it was coincidental it was on a stream about Lily. Still, it still worried me a lot and I thought it was worth recording on here just in case.

replay/read/watch-ability is something most media should strive for tbh.
The best thing about many games is is it possible to replay it/if yes will it be enjoyable?
Hell why do you think speedrunning is a thing? Sonic the hedgehog was a thing because the creator tried beating the og Mario as fast as possible and thought 'maybe this but as its own game?'
and mystery novels are the best for re-reading as sure, you may know the twist, but because you know it you now notice litle things you missed the first time around-taking into consideration of the book is well written to begin with- same can be applied for mystery games/ movies/tv etc.
Ruining the ending makes it so people arent interested in the thing to begin with (other than a few isolated incidences cuz were all different). but if you hook them at the begining, and they loved the thing, theyre more likely to interact with it again cuz people like familiarity.
How the fuck can lily call herself a writer yet this is how she reacts to basic writing ideas 101.... seriously glad she was laughed off of twitter.

There's no point trying to understand Lily's logic here, she's still stuck in the teenage cynicism part of her life where everything is automatically bad if she doesn't like it.
