Those are legitimate criticisms of Reagan, but what's funny is that leftists get mad at Reagan because he wasn't quick to act on HIV/AIDS. I remember years ago leftists got really mad at me on a another forum when I said that gay men need to take responsibility for themselves, instead of waiting for big daddy government to save them from themselves. I also mentioned how they told gay males to stop going to bathhouses and sleeping with everyone when HIV/AIDS came about, but they didn't stop. The leftists were just like, "How dare you! Gays are so oppressed and can't possibly be responsible for themselves or their sexuality!".

The right has been fucked since Reagan for a variety of reasons. And a lot of those were caused by Reagan.

Amnesty fucked the demographics.

Reagan's demeanor and personality morphed into "losing with dignity."

Reagan's policies couldn't be sustained in a world devoid of the USSR. Dubya tried with Islamic terror in the Middle East and you know the results. With this, the GOP essentially had a worsening and more superficial platform as time moved on.

All together with terrible candidates and leaders with cancerous policies led us to this moment.

Exactly and have you noticed all these Lincoln Project people, neocons, and cuckservatives treat Reagan as the second coming of Christ, these people make the most idiotic of Trump Supporters look like they have the amount of investment in politics as those who just want to grill.

They're the same people who likely supported McCain and Romney without question, yet question how and why Trump got the numbers he did this year. And they're still upset Trump was the Republican (or RINO) to actually win for once.

Trump has to appoint people who opposed his 2016 agenda to his team, he doesn't have any choice.

It's not like Kris Kobach, who is far more qualified in voter suppression and is an actual Trump supporter, would still come crawling back if Trump asked. He has to appoint people like this, Kobach has barely been on Fox News recently so Trump doesn't know who he is anymore.

If I wanted a legal expert I would just appoint the first lawyer I saw on 'The Five' to the position.

They fail to understand that a "principled loser" is still a loser and the average Republican voter is tired of RINOs who are content with being the jobbers of the beltway. There's no going back to the halcyon days for these assholes. Be it good or ill, Trump has changed things forever.

Kiwifarms attracts a lot of people who need to feel better about being a dumbass by laughing at other people that are (at least percieved to be) stupider than them. It demonstrates a-logging/trollshielding at its finest.

Even the brightest crayon can have it's dull spots just because they can get emotionally attached to something and not want to see something as is. And iirc, it has been show that smart people are more gullible than the average person (I'd link but I'm going to bed soon you must educate yourself reader).
