Yeah HOLOTALK is nothing like Asacoco. Asacoco is a skit show, this is a bona fide interview.

However, Kiara was definitely only asking softball questions, no new, earth-shaking revelations or anything overtly interesting came out of the show. My theory is she's just using this show as a way to gently introduce more of the JP talents to new overseas fans whilst bolstering her numbers doing the one thing she can do better than the other girls.

She said that the purpose of the show is basically that. Her perspective (which isn't exactly wrong) is that most of the clips that exist of hololive girls are meme moments while actual talking points tend to be glossed over. There aren't many people who know Marine is into Touhou anymore unless they find the old clips, for example, since her archives of those games got purged. I actually had no idea she met ZUN in person and only thought she had done the interview thing with Fubuki on BeatMario's podcast. Makes sense since he's usually the only one selling his games at his booth but she might have met him outside of that as well.

That and the fact that SA is her favorite game? Holy shit, I remember that game being particularly brutal and having a reputation as the hardest one until LOLK came out.

In a way, I think this is also the reason why a lot chinks LOVES to spend a shitton of money for their waifu. If they can't get laid, at least the will have their "fantasy". This is why a lot of mainland gacha games have such a overtly sexual character design, more than Japan and even Korean

1) JP fans - fully invested. Very likely to hold a “Fuck china” attitude. Main player in the game.
2) JP antis - Don’t think they’re involved this time, mentioned for clarity.

3) CN fans - fully invested, likely crushed by what the antis have done. Includes Taiwanbros, who have done their best to relay info to the chans, reddit, etc.
4) CN antis - combination of bugs that hate the US, Sino-superiority complex, want to keep Holos on their platform. Remove Coco, or leave China. Major player in the game.

And now, the dark horses:
5) EN fans. Stupidly large untapped market. Noncentralized, meaning fans across all of social media: reddit, chans, fb, twitter, etc. Generous as well. Really, REALLY fucking hates China for a variety of reasons, primed by Gura shouting out Coco during her karaoke. Major player in the game.
6) EN antis. I include the grifters and atroturfers here as well, since they cut into Hololive’s stronghold on the Vtuber sphere. Mentioned for clarity, barely relevant outside of Twitter.

So, the breakdown of interests:

Group 2 might have a nationalist agenda, since Taiwanbros don’t want mainland control over their region. Groups 1 and 5 really doesn’t want another Aloe to happen, much less two. Cannot be shaken from that conviction. Some say damn the consequences, burn all bridges with China and pull out fully.

Group 4 (maybe a little 3 overlap) want Coco to graduate, due to “anti-China sentiments”. The plan is to cause as much infighting as they can on 4chan, reddit, Twitter through a misinformation and hate campaign.

There’s been 4 large translation infodumps up through the CN graduation arc:
1) the alert that they were planning infiltration
2) an anti-Artia campaign
3) a falseflag doc with translations of chan lingo, noting the anti-Artia campaign
4) an updated anti-CN campaign revealing that CN almost universally goaded their fans on billi billi.

SPECULATION TIME:

Doc 1 should be clean. It was relayed by a Taiwanbro near the beginning of Coco’s suspension, and lines up with antis trying to spam the chats of various Holos.

Doc 2 and 3 are murky, since 3 also revealed that they thought chan shitposting and making chan threads into dumpster fires hating on Artia was a success. Note - after the release of Doc 3 there are intermittent waves of support for Artia and Civia that dried up following their graduations. This leads me to think that Doc 3 is an attempt at damage control by Artia’s discord; why would her fans suddenly stop frequenting the thread unless they were never regulars?

Doc 4 is the stuff that Anon shared concerning this ywwuyi guy, largely spread after CN graduations were set in stone. I’ve seen it floating around but didn’t want to bring it up here, since CN is dead either way. It’s possible that Doc 4 is meant to cut CN from any foreign support and make them completely reliant on billi-billi, if they are caught in the crossfire. If its a false-flag.

If Doc 4 is true, then the whole “We’ll get to keep our avatars!” stream Artia did with Civia is recontextualized as a coordinated CN powermove with their managers; instead of being misguided talents that were lied to, they are soldiers in disguise waiting to backstab the medics trying to evac them. One day the chink anti retards will realize there's nothing they can do, but Coco getting frustrated at their spam the other day reinvigorated them, unfortunately. She needs to do her best to completely ignore it, which will be difficult.

Like, Haachama's chat is a hellzone right now with their copy/paste shit, but I'm just ignoring it and watching the stream, and none of the girls themselves give a fuck either. All it's doing is adding viewership and boosting analytics, dipshits.
