No it doesn't, there is an electronic machine that creates the ballot with the choices you've selected and another that records the actual vote. And that's only one type of Dominion machine. I used one where I filled in a hand ballot and then put it through a machine that recorded my vote.

But either way it doesn't matter. The voters intentions are recorded on the ballot in plain English regardless. The machine cannot record whatever votes it wants into the system, any large discrepancies will be found when a hand count is performed by poll workers looking at the paper ballots.
