Tbf Shad has never stopped making loli/shota porn, just slowed down, and I would be remiss to take the words of a man who appears to compulsively create drawings of children fucking at face value.
You're right about Shad being a little pussy though, for all his bluster about doing loli porn for "the edge" he hardly ever defends himself over it, rather just sending in his friends to white knight for him, or beat around the bush entirely. For example, he doesnt say that he was kicked out of his old country and school for drawing tons of (illegal there) child porn, just that he got kicked out for "expressing himself"

Shad makes a lot more sense once you think of him as a NSFW-themed political cartoonist. His only edge is topical relevancy and outcries, and now that he's got neither, he's got nothing to offer.
They always fuck "up", ie. older women or mothers giving up their innocent family status because "that shota dick just too good". Everything has to end with them being on top in one way or another. But they also make a personality out of just gooning it out all day, which per definition is being a loser in the eyes of society. I swear I've encountered this stereotype so many times I could make an identifying bullet point list for it, and I've yet to be definitively wrong in applying it to people.
Then again, 9/10 people who have 'femboy' OCs fit it to a T, so. There's not much to brag about.
This personality is so odd to me. They want to be known as lewdsters who jerk their dick all day and take pride in it, but they also want to 'come out on top'. Obviously the lolis won't be getting him cancelled anytime soon as he still has a terribly large amount of fans, but I don't know if this is the case either. He's drawn offensive (or honestly just downright fucked) art in the past that has nothing to do with CP or lolis. IIRC after Edd Gould (made Eddsworld and was a popular Newgrounds animator) died in 2012 or so, Shad drew art of him being raped by the grim reaper. He's drawn other offensive things but I can't think of anything off the top of my head.
If Shad were to draw something negative about George Floyd or similar his fanbase would say it's just "dark humor for da lolz!!" and would blindly defend him as always. I think it would take a lot for him to be cancelled.

Suppose Shad turned out to be a child groomer or rapist. His friends are called to the stand. If they knew about the child grooming/rape, and did nothing, they would be aiding and abetting Shadman's crimes.
What do we know so far about his circle of friends? Only that they know his "artistic" tendencies. His closer friends are surely aware of the DM leaks in 2017 containing child models and Dafne Keen thirstposts. As far as legit pedo offenses go, the worst yet has been his drawings of Dafne Keen (considered cp in California where he lives) and she settled outside of criminal court years ago with a cease-and-desist. Meanwhile, Soph (Corbis) and her family seem unaware of or uninterested in the opportunity to press charges against Shad for his disgusting deepthroat drawings.
So far, his friends are de facto complicit in enabling his production of drawn cp. But Keen and Corbis aren't pressing charges, and even if they did, the only people charged besides Shadman would be whomever commissioned the cp or showed interest in it.
