This is Andie Proskus from Beaverton, USA. I found her on Tiktok where she has a humble one million followers on her account @andiesjourney. She's been noticed by some of the biggest stars on the app (including Charlie D'Amelio) and makes content where she sings, dances and talks about what appears to be her terminal disability, some sort of muscular degeneration. She gives gift boxes full of socks to young people in hospital and seems to be living her best life despite her limitations: or is she?


This is what Andie said about her disabilities in 2011:

Something of note here is that she mentions how she has had many hate comments and hate pages online from people who specifically thought she was faking her disability. Interesting - I wonder why?


Something felt odd about her from the get go, so I turned to my trusty friend google and got searching. Within a few clicks I found an old facebook post from 2013 where one of Andie's friends (her facebook account is now deleted) asks Ellen DeGeneres to notice Andie, a young woman with an eating disorder.

Okay, thats weird. Andie is either 28 or 29 this year, according to her own facebook posts, so back in 2013 according to her own timeline Andie was definitely suffering badly from her muscular issue by then. So why an ED? Why not mention her muscular issues?

I then came across this long dead blog, https://prayersforandie.wordpress.com/, which has posts from 2010. It says Andie is 17 years old and 'fighting for her life' with leukemia and a brain tumour.

The blog only has two posts and the second one states that Andie is in a 'medically introduced coma' and the odds aren't the best, but hopefully she'll pull through and be strong enough for heart surgery soon.

Again, according to Andies own timeline, this doesn't add up. According to Andie, she was being bullied in high school and online at that point of her life for her muscular issues, not fighting leukemia.

When searching the terms 'Andie Proskus Leukemia' I came across an old facebook post by a cancer mommy blogger.

Here she is warning people that Andie and another girl in the community are scammers and interact. Based on her post and the comments she's pretty mad - apparently Andie had lots of support in the cancer community for her singing videos - just like adult Tiktok Andie.

Here's where I found another twist to the story: there's a comment on the mommy bloggers post saying that Andie was not faking leukemia and that someone had stolen her name and photos.

This faker is apparently named Anne Soisson.

However, when searching for information online about Anne and Andie, all I could find were these two lists of race results that list them both as having completed certain charity runs. Andie seems to like doing charity runs in her wheelchair, and if you google her name that is the majority of the results and images you get.

This is where the Anne Soisson lead died for me, as I couldn't connect the two women any other way, but I'll definitely keep searching.

Here, the author speaks of meeting Andie in 7th grade and how Andie loved to sing. She then copies and pastes the prayersforandie blog text and asks her followers to pray for Andie. The interesting part about this post is that a user calls Andie out in the comments, saying she's faked cancer twice in 2010 and 2011. So I guess she had a bit of a reputation among cancer groups of the early 2010's.

Like all good chronically ill people, Andie seems to be quite the grifter, with multiple fundraisers past and present including an active gofundme for her happy boxes.

Another common result when you google her name is that she posts massive walls of text with all the details of her back surgeris, abscesses and brushes with death to the facebook pages of local news websites - she wants to be featured badly.

I'm going to work on a timeline of when she states that she had certain work done/precisely what disability she claims and I'll upload it here when I'm finished. I've archived all the relevant webpages in case she does a dirty delete!
I'm hesitant to state that she has no ailments whatsoever, as she seems to have the physicality of someone with muscular degeneration, however she is clearly very over the top about it if so and has also done things like shave her head to make herself look sicker.
Please feel free to contribute anything you might find online about Andie! She's now got an audience of over a million followers which is a bit concerning if she's a faker.

She seemed to be fine until she was 15 or so and then she started walking bent over. Some doctors told her she was faking. She flew to another state where her aunt is a dr and supposedly was diagnosed with the muscle disease then. It is hard to know exactly what is true because she reuses hospital photos over and over and is evasive about stuff. She really loves attention. Her family issues are hard to figure out but it sounds as if her family doesn't quite believe all the health issues. She often says that her mom tells her she should just die.
Andie also has an eating disorder. She has many of the common personality traits that many other munchies have. I always wonder if I am the only one who smells bullcrap when reading her story because so many others suck up to her and almost idolize her.

It's also not pronounced the same as chiropractor, it's kind of pronounced "shi-ro-po-dist". They're very popular for old and disabled people because they can perform basic foot care that maybe a person with limited mobility might struggle with, even down to really simple stuff like trimming toenails.
