Black Rifle Coffee Company Official Statement (Archive)

The veteran-owned coffee company Black Rifle Coffee has been accused by conservatives of “caving to the cancel culture mob” because of how it handled criticism pertaining to alleged Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse.
After being bailed out of jail this past Friday, Rittenhouse posed for a photo while wearing a Black Rifle Coffee Company-emblazoned t-shirt.
As the photo went viral on Twitter, outrage and hatred emerged from left-wing zealots who believe without evidence that Rittenhouse is an unrepentant murderer.
One of the conservatives who shared the photo, non-establishment journalist Elijah Schaffer, reportedly included a discount code for Black Rifle Coffee in his tweet. This led to accusations that the company was sponsoring an alleged “murderer.”
The evidence in the case in fact strongly hints at Rittenhouse having been an innocent teen who’d fired in self-defense after being violently attacked by left-wing extremists.
Look at a copy of the viral photo and some of the backlash beneath it:

<Then it just has some random tweets, who cares, go to the articles archive link to read them if you care>

The backlash, of which there’s far more than just the few tweets above, seemed to originate entirely with members of the left, i.e., the very types of people not prone to purchase Black Rifle Coffee’s products in the first place.
Launched in 2014 by former members of the U.S. military, the company rose to national prominence in 2017 after it responded to Starbucks’ pledge to hire 10,000 refugees by pledging to hire 10,000 veterans.
Since its elevation to the limelight, Black Rifle Coffee has exuded pure conservative values and has therefore been endorsed by conservatives such as Fox News host Sean Hannity.
After Black Rifle Coffee learned of the the viral photo and the accompanying allegations that it was sponsoring Rittenhouse, it issued a statement clarifying that it’s not sponsoring Rittenhouse and has no opinion on his legal proceedings.
We do not support legal advocacy efforts. We do not sponsor nor do we have a relationship with the 17-year-old facing charges in Kenosha, WI,” the company said.
We believe in the integrity of the legal justice system, and support law enforcement officials. We’re grateful for the continued support of the Black Rifle Coffee community and eager to continue serving those who serve.”
But this only set off another round of outrage — this time from conservatives who felt as if the company had “caved” to the left-wing mob.

The company appears to be between a rock and a hard place.
On one hand, it doesn’t want to involve itself in the legal matters of a young man who faces a murder charge. But on the other hand, it doesn’t want to upset its base of conservative fans who believe that young man had acted in self-defense.
It’s not clear how the company will proceed. What’s known is that the narrative about Rittenhouse that’s been peddled by the mainstream media is 100 percent false, as demonstrated by video footage recorded before and during the shootings.
One video from before the shootings shows Rittenhouse explaining why he’d come to Kenosha.
“So people are getting injured. And our job is to protect this business. And part of my job is also to help people. If somebody’s hurt, I’m running into harm’s way. That’s why I have my rifle, because I can protect myself obviously. But I also have my med kit,” he said.
This footage fits with other known information about the teen: Prior to the shootings, for instance, he’d spent his day working as a community lifeguard and later cleaning graffiti from a local public high school.
Another video shows some of what happened during the first shooting, when, while being chased by now-deceased left-wing extremist, convicted child rapist and suspect arsonist Joseph Rosenbaum, Rittenhouse turned around and opened fire, killing him.

on a related note, there's been some fun muh facsism crying on twitter related to this story:
This tweet thread is melting down because another conservative coffee company is being vocal about their support of Kyle in the wake of the announcement:

The companys site: https://stockingmillcoffee.com/

Here's one of their coffees: https://stockingmillcoffee.com/collections/coffee/products/the-stand

A dark roast that you will fall in love with. A combination of South American Arabica beans that are full-bodied, bold, and smooth.
The roast is dedicated to all those that take a Stand against what is wrong. To those that chose the side of Jesus Christ or Lord. Victory is ours!
Proceeds will be used to spread the gospel of Christ Jesus.

I actually listen to the podcast they both host and sponsor, so this doesn’t surprise me. They are a bunch of vets, very conservative, and they do a lot of outreach and such.
Genuinely, I think this is bad luck and a meme taken too far for the company. They are good people, and I hope they can weather this.
Guess we’ll see what comes of it.

Rittenhouse is a goddamn terrorist and this article is pure bullshit.
You seem a little upset, little guy. What was it that got you down? Did you cry when the aggressive jewish pedophile got shot? Or was it the jewish domestic abuser who got to you? Or maybe the armed jewish burglar? I know, it's sad. Kike Killer Kyle is truly a monster. Good will prevail and these evil natzis will get their due!

Disappointing, but probably prudent. Black Rifle Coffee isn't Nike, Starbucks, or the NBA. They don't have enough Fuck You Money to stand up for Kyle.

Still... wokescolds are used to having all of Corporate America simp for them. Who does this small, niche coffee company that isn't even marketed towards troons and dangerhairs think they are!?

Wait, so conservatives are just upset that BRC said, "We have no relationship with/opinion on this kid's case"?

Gotta admit, they sound like the liberals they hate, with all the "you said you had no opinion, so CLEARLY that means you're against it reeeee!" Are they seriously surprised that a company wouldn't try to involve itself with a case that it has nothing to do with?

That's kind of the thing though. They didn't need to say "fuck you" or anything. They could have just completely ignored this whole thing and no one but Twatter kikes would have remembered it in a couple of months. Instead they decided to cuck out and go along with the bullshit.

According to this article they are also pulling their sponsorship of Elijah Schaffer's podcast. IMO that's going a little further than just stating that they aren't taking a side on Rittenhouse's case.

This doesn't really seem to mean anything. They're just addressing speculation that they're associated with Rittenhouse or efforts to fund his legal efforts and denying the speculation.
They should have just sold coffee.
From their statement, that seems to be what they're trying to do. They haven't really denounced Rittenhouse, or accused him of any crime. They just merely stated they have faith in the legal system, while maintaining they're not directly associated with the defendant.

I dunno. To me, I can't see anything that says they're explicitly for or against Rittenhouse or his case, just that they're trying to distance themselves from it if they can. I think that pulling their sponsorship is dumb, but it just seems like distancing themselves publicly from the case.

They didn't really have a choice. Once the Twatterati have released the hounds, you kinda have to make a statement to save face.

It's a shitty situation, I know. Every day Twitter has not been shut down by DoJ, its assets remain not seized, and Osama bin Dorsey isn't perpwalked at gunpoint is a disappointment to me.
