That's in the same logic as "Republicans will storm back in 2022!". That's a fucking joke. I don't see how someone could say Trump winning a second term is a wash compared to Biden winning. A Biden presidency is the lid slamming shut on any other "unexpected" candidate. I seriously hate the "it's ok because we'll totally come back and win the free and fair elections of 2022 and 2024!" crowd more than any other. Better to have a tiger of an enemy than a pig of an ally and all the people saying that are mere pigs leading the line to the permanency of the uniparty's control.

Seriously, mull it over in your minds. After witnessing this election, say it, "The free and fair elections of 2022 and 2024". If you believe that, then holy shit tell me what bets you're putting down so I can take them.

I think we'll come up to December 14th and we might find Biden has > 270 electoral college votes and gets elected or he has fewer and we get a contingent election.

It'll be like 2000 which was decided in the last few hours before the electoral college vote is certified. The difference is that this time we (or at least I) are paying attention.

I remember waking up in 2000 and hearing the British media complain and complain and complain about how the election got stolen.

So upsets can happen. If not I guess we'll have to live with President Biden and hope checks and balances hold and the state level Republicans don't take their eye off the ball as they seem to have done this time. Or maybe there's something more sinister going on with them.

I don't think he's saying that it'll be the same as Biden winning, just that the country is so unbelievably compromised that even if Trump wins, it'll take a miracle to reverse the direction America's been heading towards for the past 50 or so years, hence delaying the inevitable. I agree with the rest of your post though, it's ridiculous that people still insist there can be a fair election again if Biden wins, period.

A lawyer, or any private citizen, cannot bring forth a criminal charge. What they can do is look into it themselves and present all evidence to a court to recommend it moves to a criminal prosecutor. Its... rare as absolute fuck, I can't think of any times it has actually been done, and would be highly unusual. But is legal.

Actually, it is neither bad nor good. With multiple lawsuits pending, its efficient and prudent of SCOTUS to wait until most or all of them are resolved below them to take them all on in rapid succession.

What even happens to that money if Trump does end up winning? It seems like they're at the point where they can't wait any longer to initiate the transition process, so they have to start it now even if things are still contested.
