I remember when this was Cover's biggest fuckup.

Here's what happened: hololive had been playing fast and loose with copyright since nobody came after them. Then Nintendo claimed some of their content resulting in it being privated until they got it resolved, but that was just Nintendo. The archive purge happened because Mio played Ghost Trick (a game which Capcom no longer even sells) and Capcom got 2 copyright strikes on her, which led to Cover going into panic mode and DFE for all the archives of all the talent, with Subaru's getting actually deleted as opposed to just privated. Since then they can only do brand deals or games whose publishers are sponsoring streams or directly gave permission to use. It's worse for them since they need company level permissions, which is why Calli is very pissed at Fromsoft and Atlus for having strict broadcasting policies that won't let her stream Bloodborne or Persona 3.

Nijisanji isn't better at it, they have fuckoff money given to them by Sony, as in some crazy amount like 18 million USD. They are given permission much more easily since they can just work through Sony to get it.

Most of the girls have a background in entertainment, Festival used to post covers in niconico iirc, its just a matter of time till someone notes the similarities and posts about it somewhere.

I think it's a foregone conclusion that this VShojo thing will stir up a shitstorm, the question is how long will it take. I guess it makes more sense now that Zentreya had abandoned the VSW org they were running before in favor of joining up with this. But who is managing them? Is this just another case like with lewdcast where Melody and the others got together and started talking some shit up? Because if it's an outside entity who proposed it, oh boy, where to begin? Mel just came out of some contract shit with Digitrevx last month. Zentreya regularly gets too bogged down in feels to stream. Silvervale creates drama both in and out of her community. Ironmouse has health issues that prevent her from being able to stream on a fairly regular basis - I'd say at least 3 streams a week get cancelled due to her health and not having energy for it. Then there's some of the inner pettiness that has been present basically since Melody boosted the rest of them this year.

So who runs this show? Who are the other two streamers out of the 7? Can someone give me a quick tldr on why people in here seem to hate Nyanners, other than the fact that she's as cringe as boxxy with her attempts at /b/ memeing and "see guiz im 1 of u" style

One is Apricot/Froot which I don't know much about at all, but she's very new, like "debuted a week ago" new. Someone else can tell you more about her.

Hime is Sydsnap aka Gigguk's fiancee. She had proposed that exact character concept a while ago when talking about the HoloEN auditions and made a joke audition tape, but it's literally the same character. This is backed up by the only people that Hime is following on Twitter are the creators of vshojo, the other vshojo girls, Garnt, and Syd's main account. As for what Sydsnap's main content is, from what I can tell it's a lot of bad shitposting and trying to be edgy with hentai reviews.

I've been around too long to actually hate anyone, but to explain why Nyanners is hated, it's basically because she was once a channer (basically their poster girl for loli shit) and then when she attempted to get into legitimate voice acting, threw them all under a bus and became "woke" for a hot minute. That ended up not working at all and then she went back to making her own content and became a vtuber while still mostly keeping her old personality but cleaned up slightly.

Joke aside, I don't think I can see VShoujo reaching the level of Hololive. Some parts of Niji, perhaps, but not Hololive now that HoloEN has become the top players of english Vtubers.

One reason why Hololive become popular at least in the english speaking countries is that Holo folks appeal to the hardcore game and/or weebs audience, the very same audience that most likely would love Vtubers outside of the home japanese audience. And because of their status as part of Japanese agency, they have more legitimacy as a "Vtubers" compared to other english Vtubers.

So, unless VShoujo manages to pour lots of money into the scene for support and marketing, and getting that "japanese legitimacy" (important for some audience like SEA people), I don't think I can see them becoming like Hololive or Nijisanji soon.

But I don't know, I might be wrong and they could ended up as the american/english speaking version of Cover/Ichikara

Silver is a drama queen. Nyanners is a disingenuous little shit. I don't know Zentraya, but they're barely a streamer to begin with, and Gigguk's girlfriend is ony in this--for what else?-- riding the meme wave 'cause it's cool, guise! Add to that Melody having the wit of a bag of bricks and Mouse's health issues.

Plus, they all have super heavy baggage. Remember that Melody already had a crossover with sh0e fuckhead? I do! Every other one of them will eventually shit the bed in some sort of way. VShojo is doomed to crash and burn hilariously.

Her artist handle is BSApricot, does mainly sfw art but I could have sworn she did lewds at one point. Was concerned about her being contacted by the ratking, Ny*nners and Melody may or may not be worse.
