Speaking as someone who got into school politics - the vast majority of kids don't give a stuff about this stuff. Only the hardcore nerds with a thing for history or political intrigue get into politics or appreciate civics beyond public services they can better understand like police and fire service.

To most kids/teens, politics is people sitting in committees arguing over lots of small things (which is what it mostly *is*) - and at best you only care if it impacts you in a way that you notice. Like new math, or the forcing schools to change their lunch menu to incredibly depressing "healthy alternatives".

It's just another adult in the chain of authority that you hear about and sometimes see on TV when something important is happening.

For as much as the left loves to call the right "bootlickers" for not... wanting to abolish police; its always leftists on Facebook and Instagram I see fucking fawning over whatever new young face the DNC/Media establishment has rolled out "wow what a story" and "truly inspirational".
Like holy fuck imagine being inspired by someone who's job it is to rule you.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I most certainly understand that Sidney Powell has come off as hysterical in her recent pressers. She is an emotional being, as are all of us (if we care) no matter which side of the aisle we reside. Powell is a seasoned trial attorney who is not new to the game. If you have have been privy to her arguments, then you are aware of her quivering voice out front of the bench. Powell has carried literally hundreds of cases from evidentiary hearing through trial and appeal. Certain attorneys (who will go unnnamed) have had their reputations built pro hac vice. Imho, she's one of the good "guys".
