If the Democratic party can deal with having a donkey for a mascot, anybody can shoulder the good and bad of having a lion mascot.

I'm still saying it should be a Bullmoose. It's too obvious a reference.

The nightmare scenario would be the electoral college deadlocks and it goes to a contingent election and then the media harass enough state delegation heads into switching their vote to Biden.

Mind you the interesting thing about a contingent election is that you don't have a figurehead who could be harassed. It seems like each state gets one vote and that is decided by a vote among the state's representatives. Which could easily be a secret ballot.

If a contingent election happens and the GOP cucks I sure hope they get lynched for it. They'd be quite literally conceding to tyranny for no reason.

Jack Dorsey will take every inch of his might not to ban GEOTUS till January 2020 or January 2024.

Dorsey has alot to answer for

Speaking of hubris a lot of Democrats tried to get RBG to resign when Obama was POTUS and had the Senate votes to replace her. She apparently wanted to wait until Hillary was POTUS so a woman POTUS could replace a woman SCOTUS judge. The end result is that once Hillary lost, the SCOTUS justices could be confirmed with a simple majority thanks to the Democrats setting the precedent for cabinet appointments and she died they lost the seat.

It was hubris to get rid of the filibuster for cabinet appointments too - it opened up the GOP to do the same for the Supreme Court. Which was guaranteed to get them multiple seats.
That is why I don't have any faith in that method despite Kevin McCarthy being very super reliable. I expect the RINOs and their slut daughters to change the votes rather than liberals. Since liberals heavily harassed senators during the Kavanagh and ACB hearings, which changed nothing. There are the runoffs in Georgia though and maybe Cocaine Mitch will probably push to have the votes in Trump's favor.

The best route is Trump succeeds in having the votes thrown out and if not, then direct appointment through state legislatures if they have any balls left.

If Trump gets back in does anyone think that Dorsey will be in a position to ban anyone after the 2024 election? The dude will be completely fucked for censoring people who were trying to expose a coup.

And he's the ideal scapegoat too. Going after news organizations looks bad but the DOJ could nail his ass to the cross and everyone would just think it was funny. Same with Zuckerberg.
Isn’t this scapegoat thing a potential consequence of revoking 230 protections? I only remember @Null hating that possibility with a passion.
Small victories and all that, but seeing Cuomo be told to get fucked is probably one of the best things of this year.

Yes and no.

They violated common carrier laws. That is enough to assrape them without 230 being altered. So no.

But most likely 230's getting assraped and this violation is gonna be front and center on the rhetoric as to why it should be. So yes.

I think Null is wrong. If Trump gets back in, or if the GOP control either house, they can just target Twitter, Google and Facebook for their blatant election meddling. I don't think they'd get rid of 230, just carve out an exemption for it that only those companies fit through. Or use the threat of that to get behavioral changes.

I could see Dorsey being tossed to the wolves by Twitter's real VC owners in this process so they can continue to run the business. In fact, even if "President" Biden is installed it would make sense for them to try to avoid the massive hemorrhage of right of center users that will happen post-election.

Incidentally the more I read about the Bull moose party the more I like the idea. If Trump sets up his own party there's always going to be a hint of Caesarism about it. The Bull Moose party was more like a short-lived thing. Also, he could restart the Populist Party.

It wouldn't be the first time. Powell mentioned it implicitly in one of her lawsuits: Mead v. Sheffield.

All she really needs to do is prove that there were enough illegitimate ballots cast to throw doubt on the election, and the entire lot of them would be chucked out. There's already been a precedent set for it, and these fiddly, little nuances are why I keep telling people to hold off on making a definitive judgement until all the chips are off the table and all the chairs are pushed in.

You think? The absolute meltdown when she died didn't give it away?
I thought the meltdown over RBG was about her being a liberal deity being replaced with an orang man pick.

I am so fucking done with this meme. The moon is not a "staging point" for Mars. it's a waste of time and fuel that makes no worthwhile difference to the trip. A lunar-orbital fuel dump might make sense if we switched to single-stage launch vehicles, but with the current methods at play, landing on the moon to "refuel" is only going to replace the fuel you spent landing on the moon in the first place, which you will then promptly spend taking back off.
NASA scientists themselves have an internal timeline that states they want to have colonization in the order of
1. The Moon
2. Deep space stations, or outside Earth's sphere of influence
3. Mars

Its not about "muh refueling" even though it can be down the line. Its more about testing the waters for a moon base to get ready for Mars because the construction and implimentation of one has never been done before.

Also, its about communication relays. A message from Earth to Mars takes 20 minutes to go back and forth. Ergo, the astronauts might be dead by the time you hear "Houston, we have a problem." With people closer or with better comms relays implemented, Mars astronauts can get help faster.

I keep seeing the lion come up as a sort of mascot animal for the “MAGA Party” and it annoys me every time. While it looks badass at first glance, the “Lyin’ Party” name alone makes it a genuinely horrible choice. Not sure what I’d go with instead, because I’m not quite sure if eagles could even theoretically be used as a party symbol, or there’d be some weird issues around that.

The American Wolf, or Wolf Party (WP). E pluribus unum!
From many people, many states, we form one nation!
or
Many voices, one howl!

As a bonus, wolves and eagles go together really well on uniforms and logos!

Whatever animal gets the logo the motto needs to be CARPE FELIS - seize the pussy.

That Sydney Powell lawsuit is very well written and full of citations to cases to show that what is being alleged is illegal. The most interesting part of it is that Governor Kemp and Secretary of State Raffensberger rushed through the implementation of Dominion voting machines in a way that seems extremely suspicious. In fact, it may even be illegal because they did the paperwork quickly and missed details like dates on signatures. There's also the issue that the US Constitution gives the legislature the power to decide on election law and neither the governor nor the SoS are 'the legislature'.
lol holy shit

A resupply dock in lunar orbit would not be a bad idea, though. Instead of throwing up everything you need for Mars all in one rocket, you assemble the long range spacecraft in lunar orbit like the ISS was and just ship the crew to it when its go time.

Fucking lmao. People actually take this shit seriously?
I must admit, I am surprised. The only item which I've seen the non-terminally MAGAtarded right take seriously is the accusation about the water leak, that this leak was somehow fake. Of course, that's just based on another affidavit from some random psycho, but there are.. obvious glaring problems I didn't note off the bat. Here is the State Farm Arena statement on the incident from the time it occurred:

I mean, I suppose everyone involved could have lied about the very time at which the water leak occurred. But it seems like something a lawyer might consider explaining, unless, of course, they're a drooling QAnon retard who is accepting any old shit as evidence of 'voter fraud', whether it's from Karens mad that black women got angry at them after they tried to reorganize the way they were counting votes, or outright trolling like this.
