Another angle of it:

Hopefully we see more of this.

edit - by more of this I am referring to the outrage, not the arrest.

As someone who took life sciences and statistics in University, this year has been so fucking enraging. The way they present the data in the most fear mongering way gets me incensed. If they presented it honestly, the news consoomers wouldn't be shitting themselves with terror.

Here's a graph of the US COVID confirmed cases (yellow), recovered cases (green), and "deaths" (tiny black bars at the bottom of the graph)

It helps to really visualize the scale of how fucking weak this virus is. Almost a full year of counting every possible death they can as a COVID death, and we're still at only x3 the number of people who die yearly from the regular flu, and that's with a yearly flu vaccine.

But instead you get headlines using whatever data metric they think will sound the scariest. It's complete horseshit.
Not only that, but I told people that we had more confirmed cases because we are doing WAY more testing now than back in April when the tests were even more limited than they are now, and they called me an idiot.

Like no shit if you dramatically increase the number of tests you are going to get way more positives? When back in April we basically told anyone with symptoms to just stay home for two weeks?

Note how deaths are a 1/3 of what they were in March/April. So either the virus has become way less deadly in eight months, we are better at treating it, or we had way more cases in March/April that just weren't "confirmed". But no, another Salubrious conspiracy that I like to peddle.

The worst is the "permanent effects" scaremongering. If you dig up the actual data it tells a far different story.

I keep being astonished that no one ever really talks about recovered cases, and are instead hyperfocused on the scary total cases, despite recovered cases sometimes outnumbering active cases in some areas.

Oh man. You might maybe in a small minority of cases feel fatigued after recovering from an illness. Be scared. This totally isn't like every other thing we have seen before.
I like the cunts who are all " oh my god if I had to work then all I would be able to do is work and sleep" bestest of all.

Like, the working classes they fetishize so fucking hard? Welcome to how we live. You know, the people who pack their online grocery shop, deliver their attention, sorry I mean packages from amazon and pour the cheap glasses of "bubbles " and cook the halloumi fries the fat, odious gluttonous cunts binge on week after week because their social lives are terminally unoriginal, just like everything about them.

Long covid is what you get if you get full sick pay and are so fucking untethered from reality you cannot fathom having to choose between working and a drop in income.

They live such pampered sheltered lives they never learned how to manage and deal with a physical risk. They think minimizing it to the lowest possible universally across society is remotely workable.

Let's see if others will follow his example.

They're gonna need a warlord to survive against Mayor DiBlasio's goons.

These goons should be afraid if the warlord in question is Snake Plisken or Paul Kersey.

Styx vlogged about Cuomo's whining about the SCOTUS decision.

Actually I think they have never learned to assess risk.
Spot on. Early in the pandemic when the lockdowns began, I said to people that the country needs to do a cost/benefit analysis. Everyone else freaked out and said how terrible I was for saying that. None of them have gone through anything that would require them to decide “this might suck, but the benefit is greater than the suck”.

People in the CV19 thread have told me I'm an evil asshole for pointing out that masks don't really work as well as the mass media campaign says they do and that CV19 is mostly killing off old people (backed up by CDC data). As well as the lockdowns causing much more harm to everything, and the "lockdowns" being good but massive people taking to the streets to protest ORANGEMAN and burn down their own cities is somehow a good thing.

I've been accused of being turbo-ultra-mecha hitler for suggesting we should have from the beginning put all our resources into helping the vulnerable people and only them. Just letting it burn through the rest of society. Sorta like how firefighters during a wildfire only protect people and structures and not every tree in the forest.
