They donated money to his legal defense fund, 2 years after that attack. You may take issue with that but there is a presumption of innocence until proven guilty, and it's a far cry from 'giving money to a terrorist to do terrorism' when the money is coming after the attack and is for the lawyers. Also, it was arson, no bombs.
No-kill shelters are terrible. Don't believe the hype. What that really means is unadoptable animals sitting in cages their whole lives while sweet adoptable ones get turned away with "sorry we have no room", or, they just ship off their older animals to other shelters to euthanize to keep their stats pure, sinking the other shelters' stats. They also engage in deceptive practices like deliberately misrepresenting the species of a dog or covering up its bite history to get it adopted out, with no concern for the unwary public they may harm.
For all their many faults, PETA is one of the few places to actually try to curb the problem by getting dangerous dog breeds that are banned by the military also banned from civilian areas. A pit bull that has mauled a kid and killed other dogs should be put down. They should not be advertised in a no-kill shelter as a cute smiley boy who just loves cuddles so they can get rid of it without euthanasia and make it someone else's problem.
