What's this about a poster?
Some as-of-now unknown tryhard has been plastering these posters around the E3 converntion center:

No one has stepped up and claimed responsibility yet. GG camp is saying it's a troll. aGG Camp is saying was GG.

Me... I believe it was a foppish British gentleman who time traveled here from the past because who in FUCK uses "Pwns" anymore?

I see, a lot of effort gone into nothing.

And the Zero Wing reference.

PS- It wasn't me! I'm American.

See...how could people really get up in arms over this? Is this any worse that the daily chat log of an MMO or even console gaming? Or even the posters that political oppositions post about each other? No, it's very tame by comparison.

All it makes me think of is that one Old Simpsons episode where George Bush Sr. spray-paints "Two Bad Neighbors" with a poorly-drawn Bart and Homer to try and get back at them, and nobody understood or even cared what it was about.

Would it even be that hard to find out who did it if anyone cared? Isn't this "a-camera-on-every-street" America we're talking about here? At a very public place like the Los Angeles Convention Centre?

Wait that's it?

They're cute enough jokes I guess, but yeah those are oldmeme and "safe" enough that I can't really see the sort of people who would waste money and time on gobergooping irl doing it.
I was expecting something with allusions to A Wyatt Mann's work or something, I dunno. Internet-y and modern. This is like a print mag like GameInformer circa 2006 or so.

- Chairman Pao of Reddit has been ordered to give up the shekels:

This is what happens when you turn down a settlement offer on a ludicrous lawsuit, then go ahead and lose it after wasting a month of everyone's time. The judge let her off easy.

No wonder Reddit is shit with a clown like this at the helm.

Alright, been watching the GG Twitter feed... looks like they might have a group behind this.

So, what other group in America can we mostly agree tend to not be "with the times" and probably would think that "pwn" and "all your base" are still part of popular gamer vernacular? Answer: The Republicans!

And some of their other work which is showing up all over the place in various cities in America:

My money is on a false flag. We know from other events that
Sarkintosh have done that before.

Edit: Or it was a bunch of tryhard Republicans. With everything that's happened, I haven't seen them do this in a while. I really shouldn't be surprised. If nothing else that and the Baldwin interview reminded me of why the American right wing iritates me. At least Milo is tolerable.

Why wouldn't there be death threats or something then? Instead, it's pretty boring. Whoever did it is serious about it is my guess.

I was wondering the same thing when the posters condemning Emma Sulkowicz went up all over upper Manhattan before the Columbia U graduation a few weeks ago. There was no way people didn't see them go up, given some were hanging off of traffic lights on Manhattan avenues.
My take away is that our cops have better things to do than watch CCTV cameras for people posting bills. Perhaps the greatest impediment to the surveillance state is simple laziness and actual priorities.

Good. I'm genuinely glad that there's people who had the balls to call that shit what it was.
