Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

"I did the best I could for Nasser in that I brought him into my life and made him a friend - I did the same thing for Sketch Therapy, I did the same thing for Liam. I bring people into my personal life all the time. I give them my e-mail. I give them my home address. I give them my home phone number, that I've had for twenty years. I trust them."

Brain damage confirmed!
Yeah this is the second bad take of Doug's in the past week. Doug comparing what Liam is going through to what he, Tim Lim, Edwin and Mike S Miller went through is complete bullshit. Despite what was said about them Mike, Tim, Edwin and Doug never went around striking Ethan's, Liam's or Oz's channels. They never went around accusing people of being pedo's and tagging the FBI in multiple tweets in order to ruin their lives. They never promoted that any Comicsgater was being investigated by the IRS and that their campaigns wouldn't be fulfilled. They never got butthurt about the parody accounts of people impersonating them, or when Cecil parodies them on Ethan's show.

Doug is way off base here.
I’ll never get why Nasser took this goof‘s advice and followed him into oblivion. The success rate is so much lower outside of CG. Only Doug, Tim Lim and maybe a few others I could count on one hand have managed to make a somewhat decent career after their break with CG.
Technically Tim Lim has improved on his Comicsgate days, but you are correct Doug TenNapel has dropped off since leaving.

(*) results aren't final due to Earthworm Jim 2 still being In-Demand on Indiegogo

1. Bigfoot Bill lost 263 (7.82%) backers from issue 1 to issue 2 but raised an additional $85,506 (43.5%), this increase is probably due to the average backer raising their contribution by $32.50 (55.62%).

2. Including both the Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaign totals, Earthworm Jim lost 4,027 (40.24%) backers from issue 1 to issue 2 and lost $403,204 (45.05%), the average backer contribution was raised by 19 cents (0.22%) which is why the drop off is so large. These results are not final due to Earthworm Jim 2 still being in demand.

It should be noted while Earthworm Jim 1 was not a Comicsgate book and was funded after Doug left Comicsgate, it was before Doug started being vilified in CG's eyes.
I'm also publishing SNOWMAN and CREED in 2021.
I haven't heard of either of these future products, care to give kiwifarms a pitch on what they are about? Is one the Southern/Midwestern cars turning into transformers/mechs you were talking about in 2018?

Yeah they got butthurt. There were several attempts to take down Cecil’s Cashgrab campaign when he parodied them in his promo video. I’m pretty sure most of those attempts were from Edwin, all with Doug’s approval of course.

Actually, I think it was Pressed-in Poulter.
Doug celebrated and encouraged Preston by calling him a "manly man" who was defending Doug's (presumably a damselly damsel in this scenario) honor by trying to take down Cecil's DIRTWORM DUG satire book.

So it was Doug. And frankly, Edwin sent me a copyright strike for doing a commentary efap on one of his videos in which he was talking mad shit. So both of those guys, TenNapel and Edwin Boyette, are just as bad as Liam Gray.

Smiller simply demanded that all of his fans stop laughing at him, and threatened them with a razor blade.

I started out at HALL OF HEROES COMICS back in 1994 with Matt Martin and Trent Kaniuga. They both had big indie hit books, Trent with CreeD (which was a Wizard Magazine hot pick for months) and Matt with SNOWMAN.

Below is SNOWMAN. You can look up Trent Kaniuga's Creed on Google. The new book is done already.

Any video like that would basically be preaching to the choir. The cat story is also something I've addressed for over two years now--anyone still going on about that is willingly ignorant. I'll address it if it comes up on stream but I don't think it really needs a video.

I'm sure Richard Gere's hamster would agree with you. I'd want to be ahead of this. Personally I'd make a video saying I did a whole Noahs arc worth of killing... With serving suggestions and recipes and shit.

Yeah, but he's not gonna get it crawling back to CG either unless EVS makes a point to debunk all that shit that was pushed onto him by CG in the first place. So essentially no change for him

There's enough new people joining every week for it to be worth the effort.

It was his lack of advertising the book himself and depending on Ethan to do all the promotion that made the campaign shit the bed like that. I’m not disagreeing that he isn’t doing as well as the bigger guys in CG. I’m just saying that he is sustaining himself And if he did more lives and advertised his campaigns more he’d be close to Ethan in terms of making money on his books,

Expendables should have made BRZKR money.

Didn't sly advertised it once? That should've been a few hundred grand off the gate from a direct share by Sly.

He tweeted it out but with no link.

Actually, I think it was Pressed-in Poulter.

It was.

Also, you can go throw in perks that have cool McGuffins like bookmarks, stickers and shit. I know you are on a micro budget but, a lot of your audience has been buying indie books like this for years and have come to expect these extras.
asylextras.jpg

I could have sold the fuck out of that zombie book that didn't fund. That looked great.
That was a short story collection. The zombie was only a trading card.
. I will help.
Thank you Ethan.
He gives them absolutely nothing in the way of help. All of them flop, and then he tells them there's glory in failure. Just a big piece of shit.
facts.

We're launching today.
It will be interesting to see how this performs because it's your first non-cyberfrog related IP since launching your brand.

I am going to guess it pulls in about 250k. It's not going to hit CF numbers but you have a wide enough fanbase to make a nice chunk of change. My guess is your final payout will be more than DC comics pays in a year.

While I'm not going to buy a comic about a gay viking or whatever this is, the fans will probably love it.

Best of luck on the campaign.

Making pegging videos is a far cry from being a manly man. Licking poo off a dildo while watching Leroy rail your co-star, I dunno. Seems pretty gay.

Edwin sending you a copyright strike. Lmao rekt.

Doug flatters the people he wants to manipulate. He tells them they have "backbone" and "a core" when they do what he wants them to do. He offers people free original artwork, and the illusion of sharing whatever clout he has.
Sweet where do I sign up? I want some free art.

$250K would be great! I'm loading the campaign to hit $200K. That's all I need. This is all books, no toys unless it overperforms ridiculously.

Nasser's situation will take time.

2019's nonstop drama, gay ops, War Campaign's influence, and fighting will take a while to heal. I've already said that it's way too soon for Nasser to release an IGG campaign. He needs to rebuild trust with ComicsGate, but I think it will happen. I can't flip a switch and change everyone's mind instantly. I can slowly reintroduce Nasser and leave it to him to win people over. Or not.

This current book is not his best effort. That's my opinion. I wish I could enthuse over it, but it just isn't as appealing at TRIXIE CAIN with that Malin cover, or Stardust. I could have sold the fuck out of that zombie book that didn't fund. That looked great.

Still, this current project is funded. I think it'll get to $4000 or $5000. Nasser needs to publish it and get it to the backers, and then try again, while working hard to overhaul his image. I will help.

Doug flatters the people he wants to manipulate. He tells them they have "backbone" and "a core" when they do what he wants them to do. He offers people free original artwork, and the illusion of sharing whatever clout he has.

He's chuckling to himself while he tells Smiller he's a good Christian for standing up to the Rainbow Brigade. Everyone is a Real Man when they're doing what Doug needs them to do to hurt Doug's enemies or promote Doug's books.

He gives them absolutely nothing in the way of help. All of them flop, and then he tells them there's glory in failure. Just a big piece of shit.

I can't meet the demand for my product and grow my business without stacking campaigns. I'm sorry, Zigzag. While one project is in production, another one needs to begin funding.

CYBERFROG UNFROGETTABLE TALES is completely fulfilled now.

CYBERFROG 2: REKT PLANET is scheduled for a May release, with PVC toys being a major factor of the campaign. It's a HUGE campaign. The book is half finished, but you'd like me to wait until 11,000 large packages ship before I begin funding the next project? Fulfillment is going to take months.

WARTS AND ALL is already finished funding, and is ready to print. That campaign will likely begin shipping in February or March.

REIGNBOW THE BRUTE can begin funding now for a release date of December of 2021. It'll be a much simpler campaign, all published, printed products.

I'm also publishing SNOWMAN and CREED in 2021.

If I wait until a campaign is completely fulfilled before launching another one, you'll get one book every 12-18 months. If I stack them, while hiring lots of help, I can get 3-4 projects out per year.

The money sits in a business account that is watched over by a CPA. It's not a matter of grabbing cash. It's about trying to build momentum and grow ALL CAPS COMICS in a slow and steady way.
I get what your saying but as a customer I won’t buy a book if I’m waiting on 1 . There have been a few cg who took the money and ran. Also you could have the book ready so one ship the next is ready to go and there no wait for the books. Making the book is what takes the time what hurts you is you wait till funding begins to do anything on the book. Jmo

nah it’s gonna hit 300k in the first hour. I’m betting the campaign is at least going to be 500 k.

Okay guys, I'm getting ready to record the video @Mister Dongs requested where I go through liam gray's "Nasser ruined Sway" stream and talk about liam's lies.

To make things easier when I do the video (and because you guys would probably like these) I've included in this post the screen shots I plan to use when going over the video.

I guess I'll begin with liam's accusation that I posted pictures of his dead dog on this thread. That is completely fabricated, and comes from the screen shots between him and the artist Joseph White. Joseph White was the artist on Sway, and these are dms between the both of them that Joseph sent me, because he was always complaining about liam. As you can see, the dog pictured is very much alive. The dog may be dead, but in this picture, the dog is ALIVE

ZAEA10Q8.jpg

The first time I posted those screen shots, I hadn't even posted the 3rd one, so he was sperging about 1/10 of a picture that could be seen in the second.

Following DMs between me and Joe are in chronological order so that you can see the timeline of Sway falling apart.

Doesn't take long after following Joe before Joe is asking me about liam and David Jaxon. There's a couple other dms between these first 2 screen shots, but those are about a CG mashup piece he's drawing and asks me for a character to include.

Eventually I ask out of curiosity about liam and david:

Screenshot_2020-11-29 (2) Joseph White ( Commissions Open) Twitter.png

Vague talks about working together in the future when done with the liam project, but eventually Joe wasn't interested in my script--he wanted to work together, but after he would read my script and I'd want to discuss it, he got every detail and plot point wrong, as if he had only skimmed the script and didn't even pay attention, and I knew he wasn't going to be good to work with so after a while I dropped the idea of working together.
Screenshot_2020-11-29 (3) Joseph White ( Commissions Open) Twitter.png

Sway launches, and the writing is dumb.
Screenshot_2020-11-29 (4) Joseph White ( Commissions Open) Twitter.png

Joe admits liam changed the goal from $3k to $15k
Screenshot_2020-11-29 Joseph White ( Commissions Open) Twitter(1).png

Sometime around now is when I had liam on my channel. Here is the stream, he pops on around 22:52
Soon, liam's crying video happened, to which J Ishiro made a response video:
To which liam messages J Ishiro.

Aftermath dms between me and Joe:

In Ben Hennessy's group chat for live stream hangouts links, liam sent this:
dTmHMQPj.jpg large.jpg

Secret Comics Presents was originally gonna be an anthology with several artists before it became just me and Jason. I guess liam got mad that Joe wanted to do a short story in it, and went around telling Mindy Wheeler I stole his artist.

Shortly after this is when those first 3 screenshots--the one with the dog in them--are sent to me.

Doug celebrated and encouraged Preston by calling him a "manly man" who was defending Doug's (presumably a damselly damsel in this scenario) honor by trying to take down Cecil's DIRTWORM DUG satire book.

Oh is this why Preston's all attacking me now? Shit is so high school. "I hang out with x so must hate y!"

I hope we're all on a road to being able to just be about comics and chill, and laugh at the absolute nutjobs like Dan Slott together. 2019 was really really nasty but it seems like most folk are on the right track now.

Where was yours? >acting as if can't comment cuz not mentioned

you are comparing your beef with Doug and Preston with Ethan’s. They are two totally different things. Your beef with Doug started because Alexopolis wouldn’t do a cover for you and Doug backed him on that decision. A good decision on Alexopolis’s part by the way, since your name is dirt when it comes to comics and anyone associated with you risks getting their reputation ruined. Your beef with Preston was that you let him gaslight you by getting butthurt over a couple jokes he made at your expense.

Preston is teamed is teamed up with Doug right now because he literally has no other avenue to sell his books effectively than to be Doug’s puppet ever since his ComicsGate TM idea crashed and burned.

Doug has a strange quirk of saying the complete opposite of the truth, I'm not sure if it's stupidity or a clever kind of deceit. I first noticed it when he was interviewing someone on his channel who was selling a mediocre-looking comic at a very high price, and Doug's straight-faced response was "That's cheap!"

It might be very humorous trolling, I certainly read it as that. I think even his Christianity might be trolling, and he might be Satan, or at least one of Satan's favorite mischievous demons.

He's doing the same with Liam now - having called him a psycho and a half-man just a few months ago, during the drama where Liam and Micah accused FanAdvocacyNetwork of links to pedophilia, suddenly Liam is now 'sensitive' - he's actually a thin-skinned, callous narcissist - and showing signs of 'mental abuse' from the CG fandom - Smiller isn't CG Doug, FYI, and in fact Fake Liam is Zombienomicon, who Doug used to stream with regularly on the SWC channel, where they would sit and obsess about the Frog monster for hours on end.

It's weird, isn't it? It's almost like there's two levels to what he's saying, the surface statement, and then the underlying truth that you can figure out from picking apart his untruths, which is very different. It reminds me a bit of politician speech.

Another example is his strange rumination about 'nerds vs jocks' in this same video. He's trying to imply that CG are nerds and he's a jock, but it doesn't really stand up to scrutiny. Frog and Malin are nerds, really? They seem more like jocks. He says jocks don't dox like nerds. But Malin is the dude who really took down Doug post-CG, by clowning his 'enemies' video. Malin never doxed him, and in fact five minutes earlier in this video Doug has already revealed that he happily, consensually doxed himself to literal mental defectives that he met on the internet. So Doug is clearly the nerd, he's just a strange nerd who doxes himself to lunatics. Frog and Malin aren't nerds, they aren't the full grown men playing Dungeons & Dragons together, Doug and Preston are.
