Yeah I'm just gonna identify as having severe intractable back pain, the type that can't be physically observed in any meaningful way and disappears when I wanna do something recreational, and also identify as being allergic to NSAIDs and anti-inflammatories. So anyone who doesn't prescribe me assloads of high dose opiates is just being a total bigot, really. Oh I also totally have ADHD that I diagnosed myself with, prove I don't nigger, so throw some amphetamines my way too because something something informed consent. Why shouldn't informed consent exist with narcotics? If I could sterilize myself with cross sex hormones and end up with osteoporosis and weird cancers I should just be able to fuckin' sign a waiver and get high.

I'd say these people should realize that DSM symptoms listed are often kind of difficult to interpret correctly and although a psychiatrist can't "get in your head" so to speak, but self insight isn't always as easy or clear cut as it seems, and they have a better idea of what symptoms are the most significant or what exact clusters of common symptoms constitute diagnosable issues. And be that as it may, the fact is that the DSM itself is all pretty fucking arbitrary and the labels made up anyway, look at how many "illnesses" disappear or are radically redefined with the release of every new edition. I won't say psychiatrists are completely full of shit, proper medications can actually be a massive help to a lot of people, but their interpretations are far from perfect and change all the time (as do the mental states of their patients), so what hope in hell does some misfit in their early 20s with no psych education have of correctly interpreting lists of vague symptoms off wikipedia?

Hell, why do we even have doctors at all when any retard can skim a Mayo Clinic page and know exactly what's wrong with them and how to treat it? Or not treat it and just list it in your twitter bio and use it as an excuse to act like a shit flinging ape.

(Dealing with legions of mouth breathers who edumacated themselves with help from Dr Google gets fucking tiresome. I imagine psychiatrists have this fifty times worse.)

There's no way it happened. Fat people want to be oppressed really bad for some reason and make up stories like this for social media points.

Fat people and damn near any group is going to try to paint themselves as oppressed because that (allegedly) gives them a leg up in social situations along with an excuse to be a lazy piece of crap. It doesn't actually do a damn thing because deep down everyone knows its bullshit. Some will still pay lip service to it though.
