I know you're just memeing, but a 74 year old man dying in the 1950s USSR which probably didn't have the best medical technology in human history isn't something that warrants much suspicion. Even in rich countries at the time life expectancy was lower than that.

I'm not convinced of this at all. Beria had as much to lose as to gain by Stalin's death, and I find it hard to imagine that Beria would have chosen a method of such uncertain success. Precedent also suggests that Stalin's underlings weren't prepared to move against him while he was alive; when he fled to his dacha after the Nazis invaded, no one attempted to seize power, although that would of course have been a golden opportunity.

Any Republicans left in this state basically hate the democrats and the ones who could not take it no more, they left for other states and can't blame them. California is so deep blue that there is no point in being Republican unless you hate the Democrats and their policies super hard lol.

The GOP here tried to ban ballot harvesting by introducing a state bill and the Democrats struck it down. And then the Democrats get butthurt when Republicans embrace it and it lead to major success here. At least the GOP tried to uncuck itself here and doing the ballot harvesting was a step in the right direction.

House speaker Kevin McCarthy made sure no republican voted against Trump in the impeachment and has been the most loyal of the GOPe.
