It's almost like giving the state control of your medical care has downsides. I want to call the judge based but you'd have to be retarded tranny to disagree with his decision.

I fail to see the downsides in this situation. The state has done the responsible thing in looking out for it's youth by not allowing them to be fast tracked onto experimental treatments with known horrific side effects.

Honestly a nationalized helthcare system provides a better opportunity to safeguard against troon insanity. People don't want their tax dollars going to someone's experimental neovagina surgery or putting children on hormones and chemical puberty blockers.

They think surgeries give them real vaginas and have no idea of the actual risks that come along with pumping themselves with these medications because science and the medical side don't actually know the long term effects. Their echo chambers teach them how to lie and downplay all the serious risks, so no even as adults a lot of them have no idea.

Some of the drugs used are literally being used in an 'off label' context. So they're not only 'delaying puberty' but they're also being assumed to accept the risk of using a drug for a purpose it wasn't originally intended for which only doubles up on the idea that a child can no way consent.

I've been seeing the TRA rage all over twitter.
Basically, if it turns out most kids do NOT continue to be trans if allowed to age normally, it ruins the narrative that this part of nature, based in biology, etc.

Nevermind that now young girls are the largest group trooning out (whereas it just to be mainly fully adult or older males).
Also notice there is no correlation between how many adult males and females become trans. Adult women that do troon out like Ellen, tend to be 1. Gay, 2. Just claim to be non-binary.
It is overwhelmingly straight men with a fetish. (Men are far more likely to have paraphilias than women, so makes sense. They frequently start in childhood, so the boners from wearing mom's panties happens, and is not proof one knew they were really a girl from a young age, just that they had a strong fetish from childhood that never went away)

Without children being trans, this is obviously primarily a fetish that needs treatment (or at least to not lie and say trans women are women).

The state did a reasonable thing in this situation. I'm sure you'll take solace in that as you wait 6 months to get life saving surgery. I'm merely pointing out the hypocrisy of giving the state control over medicine and then complaining when it doesn't go in their favor, it's literally what they're asking for. I'm sure in some cases it works out, but this is the place where you can get years in prison for carrying a knife so I'm not optimistic about their government (or any for that matter).

Troon logic on puberty blockers and really all alleged "medical treatments" is always so schizophrenic. On one hand it is argued that it is medically necessary, should be covered by national healthcare services, insurers etc. yet on the other hand the supposed treatments are never to actually be assessed as such. No evaluation of the evidence is to take place and all standards that would normally be required to justify pharmaceutical intervention are ignored.

Low quality observational studies that show nothing more than the fact that children on blockers don't mass-sudoku or have horrifically low psychological functioning are held up as undeniable evidence of therapeutic necessity. The possibility that there was never really anything seriously wrong with the children to begin with is never considered. The rates of attempted suicide or self-harm are unknown but given that it seems that not a single "trans kid" on the admittedly long waiting lists seems to have committed suicide (and I bet that Mermaids et. al. have tried to find one) then one would think that maybe one ought to wonder whether there was ever a serious problem.

The same thing is true of all the crying over "gate-keeping," troons all hate systems like what they have in Germany where the state mandates therapy in order to receive a HRT prescription but if being a troon is in effect a medical condition then it must be treated as such, no? This is everywhere the logic of all healthcare systems demand that they exist to the collective well-being of its users and to do this it must evaluate it's services not to fulfill their every whimsy; it must ensure that conditions are diagnosed and the most efficient treatments are prescribed. What other basis could it be constructed on? Mere desire?

Ultimately, you either have to engage with the question of medical efficacy in good faith and live with the consequences including the gate-keeping and legal restrictions. This trade-off is unavoidable: medical legitimization & funding and gate-keeping & evidentiary standards or no standards & no legitimization.
