what's funny about the mangosteen bit is that I, a non-goon knowing nothing about SA, somehow vaguely heard about it multiple times over the years and just assumed Lowtax was the type of dweeb to drink weird fruit supplements and soylent and blog about his adventures. The reality turned out to be way more entertaining

In the early 00's there was a gbs thread about nootropics. Soylent threads were interesting just because you had goons who worked in some kinda supplement industries explaining how industrial mixers mix powder and the main source of calories in it were junk and the creator of that product was basically crazy wearing only jump suits not washing clothing to save water.

Lots of shelters are set up like small motel rooms or even efficiency apartments. For the first few weeks you might be in a motel like room with private bathroom and shared kitchen. Later they will move them to more apartment like settings. One organization I’ve helped with donations owns like four houses, each house has several apartments, the main building where women first enter and stay are more like motel rooms. Only in circumstances where there is a sudden spike in demand do they have more of a small dormitory type space that can be utilized in the short term if needed.

Many times people may live near a shelter and not even know it. The security and information about their locations is very private due to crazy exes trying to track them down. Usually only the main intake building is publicly known and that’s usually just a very temporary location until a suitable private room or apartment is ready for them.

DV shelters are not like homeless shelters. This is why you see a lot of homeless troons trying to weasel their way into DV shelters. They are generally clean, safe and private, women wouldn’t be willing to go their with their children if they weren’t. Therefore troons prefer to get boarded in them instead of homeless shelters, and they also love occupying any space designated for cis women as if it’s territory battle.

I see Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka is spam-uploading Flash Tubs to his personal YouTube account again. My only question is; does he still own the rights to those videos? You'd assume that those aren't his personal property - those Flash Tubs were made by Shmorky for Something Awful while he was a full time employee. They should be assets of the company and as such, transferred along with the sale of the site. Hmm...
