While this is definitely not what he meant, there is some validity to the basic idea. If a child has been playing chess since he was 6, and stuck with it, of course they’ll get the 10,000 hours in before the 40 year old who just started last week.
However, there are prodigies out there. The interesting part comes in when, let’s be real here, the parents or teachers or whoever gets involved and nurtures that natural gift. This can be good, a parent playing chess with their kid and they both enjoy the time together, or bad, the parent who has the kid practice on chess.com 10 hours a day even if the kid wants to play outside with friends. The ‘trophy kid’ idea.

Kev-Kev on the concept of talent:

Kevin is mad he wasted his youth cooming and shitposting on 4chan instead of putting in the needed time to get good at art; he blames the lack of support as a kid. Drawing and painting are things that anyone can learn do if they put in the time to study and practice for years.

However misguided his position, he is right about people who say they can't draw. It does take a certain disposition to be able to tolerate being awful at art for years.

Honestly, I wish he would start making art again instead of shitposting on Twitter constantly.

compared to say, Chris-Chan, he does have a tiny amount of ability for simple, linear cartoon likenesses. with his chaser/rat king following he genuinely could open commissions and people probably would pay for them unironically, if they were like ten bucks or something. though presumably this is because his mom bought him tablets and shit and he didn't have to draw stuff with his mouse or in crayon.

Kevin has a 24inch Wacom Cintiq, a top end drawing tablet with touch sensitivity that's industry standard. It's a top-end, VERY desirable tablet (all debate over Wacom price vs value aside). It still costs in the ballpark of $2000.
As shown in a photo of his computer setup at the ranch, he uses it as a monitor display to play World of Warcraft on.

1. I inadvertently re-visited this thread after a few months on this, the day of his Kev's 1st amholiversary. God truly does work in mysterious ways.

Being as honest and not trolli as I can... Kevin / Kathryn Gibes has no redeeming skills or qualities what so ever. His biggest skill would be “art” but we have seen his work and it’s not good, even in the furry community it’s considered Z tier. He is self admittedly shit at video games and has very poor people skills.

His ability to grift is kinda like a skill however he only does so well because to his credit, he held off begging for a long time so he has earnt some good will. Needless to say he’s burning
through that good will faster than he can fill his amazon cart up with transformers toys.
