Hey, don't sell Lily's pettiness short, if Lizzy's page on the Poke'mad house wiki is any indication, I would not put it past her to have Lizzy show up as an arc villain.


I honestly wouldn't put it pass Lily at this point to have Lizzy appear as some sort of "arc villain" they have to deal with, but even Lily's not stupid or spiteful enough to just straight up use Lizzy. More likely, if she does do something like this, she'll probably use that AU Lizzy so Lily can put together some weak ass excuse that'll placate her fans, but not anyone with half a brain, something like; "it's not Lizzy, it's an AU version of her, there are evil version's of character's in fiction all the time, my hater's are just trying to paint me in the worst possible light."

That aside, G mentioning how Lizzy tried to split her and Lily up reminds me of the old theory that Lily originally took this comic to Lizzy and Lizzy refused to do it because she saw it for the thinly veiled fetish comic that is was, and that was the beginning of the end of their relationship?

The funniest part is that I'm very certain that this narrative about Lizzy being evil during their relationship isn't even true, because Jerry would constantly be using his love for her as a justification for numerous things, like discarding the Mod Ebara persona firing Mod Ebara because they badmouthed Lizzy (despite Mod Ebara being a "filter" for his content so he wouldn't have had to put up with posts that would give him a stress-induced heart attack), refusing to go through with SRS/HRT because Lizzy didn't want him to, and refusing to initiate any polyamorous relationships because Lizzy was worth so much to him ("...that if I'm making really big compromises for her... I'm not making these decisions lightly? That I've weighed the possible cons of those decisions and decided that she's worth it?"), not to mention Jerry was on suicide watch after she broke up with him. In fact, isn't that weird? How Jerry was so distraught and depressed after this alleged chronic abuser dumped him? It's almost as if he's saying and doing all of this just to spite Lizzy in any way that he can.

so as I've said I've never given a shit about the art in this comic, but crap, those eyes look terribly misplaced on that sillouhette there.
but yeah I echo the sentiment. It's hard to imagine Mikaila reading and then illustrating this comic if simply because it's crazy to imagine her having gone this long and not go "so....my character has done literally nothing for this entire series and has no actual opinion when it comes to the fact that the fictional version of my fiance seems more emotionally concerned about a fictional pokemon than the version of me in this comic." I mean supposedly Mikaila is also making a writing contribution to this, but again, it's kind of difficult to imagine Mikaila conciously pariticpating in....everything about this. hell you'd think Mikaila would have went "uh...so Lizzy is the abuser, but she also broke up with you for reasons" if there were actually two writers on this dreck.

I speculated a while back that on the AU where Lizzy ends up murdering G could have been done because Lizzy was the only one to truly see how awful she was to Liliana's life, and was desperate enough to try to save the woman she loved that she had to take drastic measures. Every single version of G has been a horribly manipulative selfish asshole (one kept insisting to fucking until her Liliana finally accepted and the other one takes advantage of a high Liliana to fuck her), so why should that G be any different? For all we know, that G could have physically raped her Liliana in an attempt to get her to admit her feeling for her, Tara Callie's style, and Lizzie was rightfully horrified when finding out.

The more I think about it, the more I think Liliana accidentally made her version of Lizzy into the only true hero character she has ever written. A brave woman that dared to do the impossible (kill a overpowered pokemon) just to try to save someone else, even despite knowing it might not bring her any rewards or recognition, even if that meant losing someone she loved, just because it was the right thing to do. Unironically much more compelling than Lalaina, Rey or Sylvanas combined.

For sure that Liliana and G are going to be the ones to represent Lizzy as the bad one when she attempted to make them break an unhealthy toxic relationship for both of their sakes. On the context of this story, it would be understandable that C!Lizzy'd prefered to break up the relationship rather than keep seeing her future wife devoting herself more to her abuser than anyone else, because that was less painfull that marrying someone to whom she was always going to be second place, living with both a condependent unstable mess and her violently possesive pet. A beautifully tragic heroine that had to do the hardest thing ever for her own wellbeing before it was too late, the kind that in rom com means leaving on the altar the guy that was never going to make her happy to chase her own dreams.

The best part of this reading is that there is nothing on the text to contradict any of it. G and Liliana are both unreliable narrators since their perspectives are so self-centered into their own relationship, so one logically can't take their words as gospel. G especially since she has already shown how she failed to realize Liliana didn't had a crush on her anymore, so one can logically only doubt about her own perception of how mean or cruel anyone else is.

I don't know how much of this is autobiographical. We do know that Liliana would actually tell Lizzy that she developed crushes on other people and thought it was so terrible of her not accept her future wife telling her that.

I think it says a lot about Lily's writing that we of all people can make better sounding stories out of the wasted parts of her own comic.
